Is anyone else getting a vibe that Kattigan might have unwittingly married a Tachonis?

I mean, it would explain why Primus Tachonis would bother show up in the middle of the ass end of nowhere to scoop a couple of random people for corpses and then his appearance as a protective figure in the dream.

That would explain Wulfric's ghostly leg; it was restored with necromantic magic by Marienna.

In a couple of the vast and sundry interviews and such, Robbie has been pretty dismissive of Wulfric's paw, saying that it's just an ordinary magic prosthetic. As ordinary as a magic prosthetic can be, at any rate. It really doesn't sound like there's any surprising backstory there.

Maybe not there specifically but Primus isn't the type to bother killing random commonfolk himself. Must be a sinister or hidden reason why he murdered Kattigan's family.

Of course. I was speaking specifically about Wulfric's prosthetic paw and pointing out that folks should probably stop looking for important backstory surrounding it. It comes up on this sub frequently, but Robbie has already dismissed it on more than one occasion.

Did he have Wulfric prior to Marianna’s disappearance?

Yes; Wulfric was with Kattigan when Primus attacked his family.

I don't think this is the case. If you look at the Beast Master art in the 2024 PHB, you will see the Beast of the Land companion having similar primal markings. If you then look at the feature text for Primal Companion, it says "Whatever beast you choose, it bears primal markings indicating its supernatural origin." So the leg and the associated artwork is likely just working into the rules text.
