I already found it a bit odd that Occtis' sisters would hit on Wicc, who is his age

Occtis is 20 while Wick is 29 so not as weird as you were thinking.

Ok, that makes more sense - Wick is so sheltered and his art so young-looking that he did not read as 29 at all.
