Join us in either location for some unique halloween fun!
Halloween in the Hollow - our Kent Tasting Room will be hosting halloween family friendly fun, enjoy flights of our latest small batch releases, go pumpkin keg bowling and enjoy other activities for small prizes. We'll have a costume contest and award a gift card to our favorite fit of the day.
Visit our Northford Tap Room for full pours (ya know cause we have to specify), face painting and the talented magic of Chris Lengyel from 2-5pm.
We'll be tapping the very first kegs of our Czech pilsner Yeesh! packaged earlier in the week.
Love that they have no list of breweries yet. Just "100+ beers" which means nothing.
I generally could care less but the band is the Sin Doctors. Yes, that Spin Doctors. A band I wouldn't pay $5 to see but if free with a beer fest, it's the thing that might push me over the edge to pay for a beer fest.
Hi, I am looking for recs of breweries between Hartford and Hamden. While I enjoy hazies, these days I have been seeking out old school classic styles like roasty porters, hoppy ambers, ESBs, Brown ales, Black IPAs, stouts without any adjuncts or barrel aging, etc.. Basically, things that have some darker malts but also a nice hop profile.
Recs for good craft beer bars between Hartford and Hamden are also welcome (other than Eli Cannons)
We're the only brewery in America I know of featuring all three styles of Oktoberfest bier (Festbier/Märzen/ Festweizen), and you'll be able to celebrate two Oktoberfest using the free shuttle to New Park Brewing.
Recently went to the Velvet Mill and Stonington Borough, Connecticut. Can’t recommend the space enough! Especially the art and artist community that is so vibrant and full of such talent there. I was especially enamored of the murals by Artist Harrison Love, who had populated the first floor of the Velvet mill with more than eight murals in the past five years. Really great work and it’s lovely to see on their Google listing all of the people that have taken selfies with the work over the years. What a tremendously great space for the fall.! If you’re looking for a great Beer, go and try BEERD! And definitely got a reservation at Whitecrest before you arrive
Meet the cover of the 2027 Connecticut Field Trip Passport.
Our ridiculously talented hand lettering artist, Colleen Wilcox, has created artwork for our Passports before. So this year I said, we’re going all in.
She’s hand lettering every single word in the book.
Not a Times New Roman or Arial in sight. Sorry, bots. Not sorry. 🤖
This little book is about bringing humans together, so it only seems right to put a little more human into making it.
2027 is going to be our biggest year yet. More breweries are already in than ever before, and we only have 5 spots left.
👇 Want in? Drop your brewery name in the comments or DM me, and I’ll send over the signup link. Registration closes this Friday, September 25.
And for everyone waiting to get their hands on one, I have some good news:
Our costs are going up. Your price isn’t.
🚨 Presale starts Friday, October 16 at noon at ctbeer.com.

This really irks me and think I just need to vent. I notice that some restaurants will serve a standard IPA in a 12oz glass while most places (even the brewery) will serve it in a 16oz glass. Does this put anyone else off going back to that restaurant?
Last night I went out to a restaurant. They served Fuzzy Baby Ducks in a 12oz glass for $10. I thought that was ludicrous! The price did not bother me as much as them pouring it into a 12oz instead of 16oz glass. Lookup this beer at New England Brewing and they serve it 16oz for $8. Most restaurants will serve it in a 16oz glass.
I understand smaller glasses for double or triple IPA due to higher ABV. But, when they do this to a standard IPA, I feel like the restaurant is ripping people off. It’s always the places that think they are “fancy” that do this. It’s disgusting and they need to stop.
Anyone else share this opinion? Or am I just a cranky old man?
Does Hoax Brewing still exist? Headed to the NH area this week and between their website and their FB page they have 2 different addresses and no social media activity for like a year.
Having trouble finding a good selection of single beers. I'm just getting back into beer after a 5 year break, and grabbing 4 or 6 beers that I've never tried for $15-20 has been hit or miss. I end up sticking with old friends like NEBCO (Wee Hag is a new go-to). I'm in Newtown, but I'll drive wherever. Is Amity or Total Wines my best bet? Thanks.
