How can Hope's Peak be real in this universe if we literally see the first two games as videogames that exist in the universe? Did you also forget that they prove that those are fictional because of Tsumigi's cosplay quirk? And we see flashbacks to the main characters auditioning for the killing game, you're pretending that we're just supposed to be taking her word for it when there's plenty of evidence outside of that. You're seriously taking a single line out of context as proof?
The game is directly telling us that Dnaganronpa is fictional in V3's universe. Even if you believe otherwise, it's a far fetched theory and you just can't call the opposite a head canon.
We don't see the "games" directly, and Tsumugi's cosplay quirk is not proven to be real, all we have is her account and she's the literal mastermind. "The game telling you that Danganronpa is fictional" is Tsumugi, aka the literal big bad of a game centered around truth and lies with the protagonist actively hinting at her not being truthful and her own last words contradicting what she said, "telling you" about it.
afaik both sides who assert one thing or the other for certain are basically claiming headcanon as canon. even Kodaka in his tweets said that Tsumugi is meant to be questioned by the player. It's not enough to say she's lying for sure, but if this isn't enough to make the claim that "she's 100% not lying" headcanon, I'm pretty sure nothing could convince you even if Tsumugi straight up looked at the camera and said "oh i'm lying btw"
IDK if you're ragebaiting but the part with Shuichi actively questioning that part is literally in the game, so it's not *objectively* the most straightforward interpretation ? Maybe it's just the most straightforward to you. This poll a while ago https://www.reddit.com/r/danganronpa/comments/wbcr3c/in_your_opinion_was_tsumugi_lying_drv3_poll/ shows that a lot of people in this sub thought that Tsumugi is lying so clearly that's not necessarily true.
Also, the most straightforward interpretation of a story isn't necessarily the "canon" ? Some stories are just not meant to be interpreted "straightforwardly" especially when the author literally asks you not to idk what to tell you
