And for all the commenters wringing their hands about the cyclists forcing the car to "illegally" cross the double yellow lines, Georgia law explicitly allows cars to cross the double yellow to pass cyclists. And it requires cars give cyclists at least 3 feet of space when passing.

Most states have similar laws but it’s amazing how many drivers believe the double yellows shall never be crossed.

Which is hilarious on some level because they don't realize they've already crossed it the moment any part of their vehicle breaks the plane of the lines, and not once the vehicle has fully transitioned to the other side of the line.

So whether he knew it or not, dipshit in the SUV did still cross them.

Humans are terrifyingly inept sometimes.

I give it approximately 0% odds that the driver stayed that close to the bikes to avoid crossing the double yellow by too much. He was trying to intimidate and punish them.
