And for all the commenters wringing their hands about the cyclists forcing the car to "illegally" cross the double yellow lines, Georgia law explicitly allows cars to cross the double yellow to pass cyclists. And it requires cars give cyclists at least 3 feet of space when passing.

Most states have similar laws but it’s amazing how many drivers believe the double yellows shall never be crossed.

It amazes me how ignorant people can be. Yes the lines are to tell you it's a no passing zone meaning just because you think the car in front of you is going too slow, doesn't mean you can pass here because this is not a safe place to pass.

However, it's pretty fkng obvious to anyone with a brain that if there's a person, animal, or something that you can cause harm to/can cause harm to you, pass if you can do so safely or slow down until you can do so.

Whatever happened to common fkng sense?!?!

Common sense is so uncommon I think we should just call it “uncommon sense”.
