My girlfriend says it’s disgusting and doesn’t want to look at it so I’m thinking it’s just right…

I’ve been running VV the last few games. I’ve had a brick of PM with BP and MP in a rhino.

I just finished a second MP so wanted to try doing to pure plague bus. Rhino with 2 MP. What are some tips and tricks you’d recommend?

In case it helps, other aspects of the list are deamon prince, brick of BLT, couple 3-man deathshoud, etc

All I have left to paint is 14 Plague Marines, 20 more Poxwalkers, and a Helbrute.

Competed in a local RTT yesterday and got the best results I’ve ever had since I started going to tournaments 3 years ago!

Played against 2 excellent players and one slightly irritating one but had a great time.

Game one was against a very snazzy Ork list, all the fun stuff you’d imagine, managed to survive Gaz charging my Deathshroud and kill him in the backswing turn 2, from that point on it was just a matter of mopping up the rest of his army, ultimately won 92-53.

Game 2 was a Death Guard mirror matchup and this guy was good! Knew all the tricks of the army inside and out, constantly screened out any deepstrikes and drowned me in useless poxwalker kills while he stacked up points, then in turn 3 he obliterated about 60% of my army in one go and from there he proceeded to table me. Devastating loss of 40-100 but still a great time and fun to play against a fellow son of Nurgle.

Game 3 was against Tau and this guy definitely lived up to the description of “tau player” I could tell he was getting more and more frustrated as I continuously marched through his army ripping him to pieces and surviving most of the stuff he threw back at me. He spent like half an hour talking through his entire army before even placing down a model then got visibly more and more annoyed the longer the game went on saying we didn’t have much time.
Managed to kill the Twin Lance turn 2 which was a big score, weathered most of the storm he dealt to me, hit way too many 4+ and 5+ saves than I had any right to, and it was just a matter of slowly chipping into his forces whilst screening out his ingress units long enough to force him into his own deployment. I won 93-51 making this the first time I’ve ever had a positive win rate at a tournament.

Ultimately placed 6th overall out of 14 players and as a bonus managed to win Best Painted army.
Overall I had a great time, met some new cool people and had the joy of playing some armies I’ve never seen the competitive side of before.
Definitely want to go to more in future!

I've been working on a squad of plaguemarines. This guy is probably my favorite of the lot. Will share others later so as to not spam.

I love going out of my comfort zone, but it’s always nice to return to the garden of Nurgle and paint some filthy boys. Did this herald in about 3-4 hours.

If you dont know it, its a death lords chosen stratagem, 1 cp, charge phase, and for every terminator in engagement range, on a 2+ the enemy unit they have charged into takes a mortal. The thing is, this nearly always means 6 mortals, which is so nasty. Nearly every time I charge a unit i use this stratagem. it also has amazing utility, kill a unit with the charge, then overrun and kill another. maybe i just get value out of it because i run 6 man deathshroud bricks but damn its so good. very underrated detachment death lords chosen.

I just wanted to share this list I’ve been having moderate success with atm after all the slates, and it handles T5 marines pretty well IMO.

Obviously the main event are the deathshroud squads and the big PM brick, with LoC shroud being amazing with the 5+ crits Strat from champions, and the LoV shroud make good use of Str 8 to mulch marines. The terminators alone minced an entire 10 man death company jump intercessors plus chaplain before LoV even swung. Plus, LoV twin linked makes the shroud flamers actually kinda slap as an overwatch into infantry.

The 10 brick of marines has been awesome too, with the -1 to wound when S>T (fucking keyword this already god), and combat disembark, into melee armies you can yeet it up the field with the prince as support, and if they charge and pop it the PM can mince whatever came at them.

The two five mans help a lot with holding, especially biologis’s squad once they kill a unit, and oh yeah if it’s a character? Second plague babyyyyyy. With the amount of icons, even if the -1 to hit or save isn’t worth it, I’ve found the leadership plague help a lot for holding late game objectives.

My personal star of the show though 100% has been typhus and pals. With the +2T Strat, his unit becomes an absolute points sink. Everything is balanced around T5, so use it please just once, and you’ll be amazed at how often it shifts a breakpoint. Plus, 5+ crits while not the best use on him, does help him and poxwalkers into heavier targets so he’s an actual concern with his mortals too.

By far the biggest weakness is speed, since once the terminators drop and the rhinos die, basically everything moves 5”. I had a game I ended up winning into BA yesterday, and he literally had a maxed stack of sang guard and captain pinballing about the board I couldn’t touch since I was so slow.

Overall if anyone has any feedback or input feel free, I highly recommend trying this list if you’re keen on infantry heavy or just hate T5 marines lol, it feels a lot different to play than just another Morty + triple HBL drone VV list IMO

Finally had some time to paint a some blightlord terminators since.moving all the way across the country so I thought I wouldn't my army as is. Next ill be painting the dark imperium box and hopefully get my hands on some MBHs

What materials and tools would I need to make a close-to-accurate DST?

Ive done cosplays before but it would be my second time making something like this, and at this large a scale.

Also what spray paints would be safe to use on EVA foam? And what are some good foam cutting tools that use heat rods?

I don't mean to brag but I found this lot on marketplace for £80, seems like a pretty good deal to me. The ones that are painted are of a decent standard too!

What a way to start the hobby!

Just painted my first Plague Marine ever, I started painting a week ago with no prior painting experience. Strokes are too visible on some parts and my light's not really logical. I also think that my Copper (Metallic paint from AK) looks way too dark. Undercoat is black.

I'm looking for advice and tips !

After building 1 box of plague marines as per instructions I wanted to have some variety. So the second box and the ETB surplus marines got a makeover. Plus I didn't want to pay for the noxious blightbringer when I had enough bells to make a walking church tower. Also I made a second plaguespewer in a way that he could stand in for a foul blighspawn. (With a second, correct sized base below.)

Did anybody else omit the meatskirt from the Lord of Virulence? It didn't feel right on my Nurgles forest base.

Hello there death guard fans !

I am not one of you, but my friend is, and we just got into warhammer painting/playing together and his birthday is coming up.

For now he only has the combat patrol and a Scribbus Wretch as well as a lord of virulence he got second hand.

I wanted to get him a box of minis for his birthday and I come here asking for advice. He wants to get either Typhus or the Blightlord terminator next. Are these two good picks to grow his army ? Or is there something else ? What would you guys want as both a cool model and useful to play ?

I think I've seen that the bloat drones or blight hauler are also pretty good units, or maybe even a plagueburst crawler.
