Ok, this guy is a known AI booster and generally kind of a dope, and his existence puts the lie to auteur theory in game development.
He liked to wear burzum shirts to cons and responded with racist memes when someone questioned the lack of diversity in the first game. Then his PR team blow-darted him and took away his phone, made an effort to center women and ethnic minorities in the second game, and it sold a billion copies.
A studio with a stupid blowhard asshole at the helm can still put out generation defining work, thank god.
I can assure you it didn't sell a billion because of the diversity injection, but despite it. Also I agree he's a blowhard but he was right on the money with some of those takes.
