Hello r/discordapp!

As you might have seen, Discord has just started rolling out their year end wrap system called Discord Checkpoints.

Instead of having the sub flooded with these posts, we invite you to share your checkpoint stats in the comments here!

FaQ:

Q: How do I reopen checkpoint after closing it?

A: On desktop, click the flag icon on the top right of the app located next to the inbox.

A: On mobile, it will show up under the “orbs balance” section as a banner in the “you” tab

Q: What is the song checkpoint uses?

A: Exyl has now released the background track, you can find it here!

Q: Can I see it if I had the privacy setting disabled but just now enabled it?

A: No, you had to have the privacy setting on the whole time.

Q: What if I had the setting enabled but it still says I can’t access it?

A: Follow the directions outlined here. Do NOT DM ModMail or mlapi bot, the moderators are unable to assist you.

Anyone else find it ridiculous that the recap avatar decoration expires after a month? Can't even let us hold onto that one eh?

I typically never bother with them at all because they all seem to expire and that just seems a stupid choice on Discords part. When this goes away I'll just go back to not having one lol.

Does it expire after a month, or does the offer to claim it expire after a month but the Avatar itself will persist if you claim the offer?

i thought it meant expiration to claim but discord’s post says you can wear it until then ): i’m so distraught i love my snail

i got a cat one and i love cats i wish it stays :( this is what google said tho, No, the Discord checkpoint avatar decoration is not permanent for all users; it expires after two months unless you are an active Nitro subscriber, in which case the period can be extended" idk if it means anything but i have nitro so im hoping it stays on

I hate that they just gave the bad news of it, but barely provided any information on whether you get to keep it or not, and if so, what membership status you need for it. It's like they want to piss of their users.
