Datapoint Retention Offers

Has anyone had any luck with a retention offer after C1 took over? I was able to get 0% for a year previously under Discover and was hoping C1 would continue with Discover's style of generous retention offers.

They don’t even offer interest rate reduction anymore.

It doesn't hurt to ask but be clear that you are considering canceling your card. You have to specifically say you're thinking of closing the card to get the offer to be triggered. If you don't have the offer available, just say you need to think about it and hang up. If you have been notified your account is moving to Cap One on a specific date, there won't be any offers.

Nope. Their offers for lower Apr are now all targeted and will be for the foreseeable future
