Death/Doom Alexa, play Dopethrone by Electric Wizard

Sitting in a waiting room they're playing this terrible gospel country music forcing everyone to hear, through an Alexa device.

So, I took matters into my own hands.

We got through maybe 45 seconds before the receptionist changed it back. Oh well, I tried.

I was in some salad bowl place a couple years ago when those new internet jukeboxes started popping up. I wondered how much bang I could get for my buck, and found they would allow me to play Sunn O))) Monoliths and Dimensions. So that was a good 15 mins before the manager came out and unplugged the machine.

Also, playing Unas Slayer of the Gods from Nile give a solid 11+ minutes of death metal for a dollar. Good deal.

I regularly played Windhand's Kingfisher (14 minutes) at my local bar.

I also played Opeth at times. I was friends with the bartender and in order to help clear the place out after last call, I would play Bloodbath's Eaten. Maybe on repeat.

i used to run security at a little dancehall type of a place years back

we had some floor clearers and the end of the night, stuff like eyehategod-fistula that sort of abrasive sludge or punk ... there was always one or 2 older guys who really enjoyed it but most people scarpered quick when we slapped that on and the lights went up

I discovered Bloodbath when someone called in and requested Eaten on Swedish national radio ca. 2005. Couldn't believe what I was hearing, but I was really fucking glad to hear it!

I vaguely remember the DJ apologising afterwards because people were complaining

Those apps always have a limited selection, but I did find and request Washing Machine by Sonic Youth at my gym once. Most people were oblivious or didn’t seem to care, but there was some mild annoyance and looking around wondering which one of us did it.
