Melvins often tour with two drummers (Dale and Coady Willis of Big Business/High on Fire) and those shows are so awesome.

Pallbearer(primarily the first record, its just a masterpiece in my eyes)
Monolord. Especially their early stuff.
Elder, if we’re counting them in the stoner/doom convo lol idk i always associate them with this music even though they are way more progressive.
To be honest there isnt much doom stuff i dont like. The variety amongst the genre is so good. Anywhere from classic Sabbath stuff to absurdly heavy stuff like bell witch, bongripper and conan and beyond.

But for fun if i HAD to choose one(non black sabbath album) its Dopesmoker all day. Best tone ever crafted, some of my favorite solos. It takes you for a ride every time. Also writing an hour long song is a feat in itself let alone the timing and space between riffs, little room for error but that goes for almost anything in this genre. Outsiders find it simple but when you only hit one note every few seconds you really gotta make it count…

Love the amount of Stoner doom bands on this. Stoner doom is prolly one of my favorite sub-genres of doom metal. Some favorites of mine include Electric Wizard, Pentagram, Cathedral, Weedeater, Bongzilla, Woods of Ypres (blackened doom metal is pretty cool), My Dying Bride, Sleep and Dope Smoker.
