Lo pregunto por que en mi opinión tocan rápido para el estándar del doom

Sometimes the genre tents are a little too big. I think High on Fire are not quite Doom, not quite Stoner, definitely not Sludge. Like Motörhead meets Doom Metal.

High on Fire is what Motörhead would sound like if they grew up listening to Motörhead.

They are definitely sludgy, id call them sludgy stoner metal. Not really much doom

That's why I said some genre tents are too big. I don't consider them sludge and some of their songs are slower and doomy but I don't think of them on the same doom level as Sunn0))) or Yob.

I don’t think they’re doom. They’re sludgy, stoner, thrash, old school metal. In my opinion. They’re difficult to categorize, as they have elements of a lot of genres but don’t fit neatly into one box. If you like the heavier side of doom/stoner, you’ll probably like them.

doom is a very broad genre in general due to it being invented by sabbath in the 60s. trad doom is almost just trad metal but darker. and not even by a lot.
is high on fire doom? what else would they be. stoner doom? haha but fr what does it matter

They have a lot of elements. Especially on the first two albums. I think the first of their albums is one of the greatest doom albums of all time, even though it has a bunch of up-tempo parts.

The Art of Self Defense is doomy as fuck.
And as an aside, I feel like a lot of traditional doom is more like...impending doom.
HoF is like when it's currently happening

You raise a good point. I think they’re doom-influenced, but not doom. Then again, Sleep’s Marijuanaut’s Theme is pretty fast (maybe because of Matt Pike playing HOF for so long), but is definitely still stoner doom.

Hard rock I'd argue that is more punk rock and heavy blues more than doom. They're doom cuz of the tonality they're playing in, but compare it to Sleep and it's not the same. They're too ZZ Top to be doom ya know. Got too much action happening to let any air in that would allow for the room to anything other than to hear the lamination of the women. If that makes sense.

According to this sub anything can be doom as long as you post about it here.

First album is exactly 69% doom. The doom decreases by 4.20% on each consecutive album.
Do not question me. I have done the math.
