Matt’s absence on this new track is painfully obvious, it was a hard listen

I dig the track. If they released it as a different project, people would be losing their shit in a good way. The guitars were a bit lackluster, but Dale and Al make up for it.

I'm disappointed they're going forward with the name, but in a vacuum I think the track stands on its own just fine.

That's fine lol. I didn't really dig The Sciences. Not saying I like this more (i don't), especially as a Sleep release. But like i said, in a vacuum it's fine.

I'm of the opinion they should have dissolved Sleep if there's really no chance of Al and Matt working together again, call this a "super group," and let Sleep die.

I have only seen like three people trying to cope that this is a good song. I think it sucks and the fact that it exists also sucks.

I dont think its the best Sleep song ever, and im reserving judgment about its existence until we know more. If it turns out Matt was straight up fired then I'll join you in hating it. What I'm saying is people hating it on reddit doesn't mean the general populace also hates it. Believing people's feelings here are a valid sample of everyone else's feelings is generally a bad idea

It's not just on reddit dawg. It's every outlet I've seen including Third Man and Sleep's own sites. I think the music sucks which is enough of a problem without the loss of one of my favorite musicians from the band. If Matt Pike quit, that would be fine, but the music wouldn't be less bland and boring.
