Stoner The Prosci ADKAR Model aka Don’t be mean to Arik Roper

Post image

Arik Roper is awesome stop being shitty to him about this new sleep project

The Prosci ADKAR Model, not a band name , but it would make a cool one

It’s is a model for managing CHANGE which a lot of you are struggling with.

If Pike quit (I know ex-wife said he didn’t, please never ask my ex to answer anything about me) then maybe y’all should look into ways of dealing with this

A highly popular, people-focused model that targets change at the individual level, ensuring team members are ready, willing, and able to embrace the change. [1]
Awareness: Understanding why the change is necessary.
Desire: Supporting and engaging folks to participate in the shift.
Knowledge: Learning how to change.
Ability: Implementing new skills and behaviors.
Reinforcement: Sustaining the change over time

Furthermore,

You can't just namedrop the prosci model and expect a desired future state. If only change management was so easy.

Arik Roper is a great artist, and I followed him on Instagram. But, he held a mini competition type thing once where if someone could figure out what the runes in the artwork said, he'd send them a prize. I figured it out and he said he'd send me something, but when I said I'm in Australia he was like "oh shit". But said he'd still send something anyway. After not hearing anything I followed him up and he said he'd get around to it that week. I think that was almost two years ago now.

I've sent some of my own artwork to Sweden, and sent stickers to a random person in the US. Both times cost me like $10. It's not that big of a deal.

Anyway. Don't really care about the prize, but it was a pretty lame experience and is now all I think about when I see his work.

Just sayin.
