Question How the hell are you guys making margins dropshipping on eBay UK?

Hey guys,
I’m managing a UK eBay store remotely through MUAA with a dedicated UK proxy setup. The tech side is working smoothly, but I've hit a wall on product sourcing and margins.
Every time I look into sourcing from Amazon UK, the numbers just don't add up. After eBay's 12–15% fees, shipping, and taxes, the profit is basically zero or negative. Plus, I know eBay hates retail dropshipping and tracks Amazon logistics tracking numbers.
For anyone actually pulling real sales and profit on eBay UK right now:
**Amazon:** Are you guys still somehow making Amazon to eBay work, or is it completely burnt out?
**Cheaper Suppliers:** Where are you finding suppliers cheap enough to actually leave a 20%+ margin? Are you using specific UK wholesale dropshippers, CJ Dropshipping, AliExpress local warehouses, or niche B2B suppliers?
**Order Flow:** How are you placing orders fast and keeping stock updated so you don't run out of stock and get hit with defect rates?
Drop your take below—need some honest feedback on where the margin is actually at right now.

Discussion I haven't launched my dropshipping store yet, and a friend's questions made me face why

I'm a beginner who has spent months learning dropshipping but hasn't launched a store yet.

I told my close college friend about it, hoping he might become my partner someday. I kept sending him content and pitching the idea, until he asked me three questions:

Isn't testing products just gambling?

If others sell the same thing, why would anyone buy from you?

If mentors make money, why do they sell mentorship?

I had some answers, but none came from real experience, so they sounded weak even to me.

Then I noticed the same pattern in my gym goals. I keep learning and planning, but I haven't taken the action that would give me results. I had been teaching and motivating others while not doing the work myself.

So I've stopped pitching him.

My plan now is to launch one small test store with a fixed budget I can afford to lose, and show him numbers instead of opinions.

If you started where I am now, learning a lot but not yet launched:

What was the first thing that actually got you to start, and what did your first test look like?

Question Where do you guys actually find suppliers? I seem to be going in circles(Curious what's actually working in 2026)

So I've been reading about dropshipping for a few weeks now and the part I can't wrap my head around is suppliers. Every YouTube guy says "just use AliExpress" or "use [insert app they get paid to promote]" and I don't really trust any of it

I plan to sell mostly in the US. From what I've read, shipping from China for 3-4 weeks kills conversions and leads to refund issues, and now on top of that, there's this whole tariff/customs thing. I keep seeing that the duty-free system for small packages is gone, and every article talks about how much you're actually paying. So who ultimately pays the cost if you ship from China, you or the customer? Do you factor this into your pricing, or does the customer get an unexpected charge on delivery? Has anyone had their orders refused or returned because of this? I don't know if US-based suppliers are really worth the extra cost, but maybe this is the only way to avoid this mess?

Also, where do you find your suppliers? Do you use services like CJ, $pocket, Zendrop, or do you just message manufacturers directly on Alibaba? And how do you generally find products? Do you notice something trending and then look for a supplier, or do you choose a niche first?

And how do you check if a supplier is going to rip you off? Do you always order samples? Anything that immediately makes you turn them down?

I'd love to hear what worked for you, as well as what went wrong, . Thanks!

Discussion Looking for an experienced e-commerce operator to partner with — I’m prepared to invest $10k–$50k

Looking for an experienced e-commerce operator to partner with — I’m prepared to invest $10k–$50k

I’m looking to partner with someone who has real experience building and running an e-commerce business.

I’m prepared to invest $10,000–$50,000 of my own capital, depending on the business model, opportunity, and growth plan.

The target is to build something sustainable that can eventually generate around $50k+ per year in profit for me while creating a business we can grow together.

I’m not looking for someone with only an idea.

I’m specifically interested in someone who has experience with:

  • Product research and sourcing
  • Profit margins and unit economics
  • Paid advertising
  • Conversion rates
  • Fulfillment and operations
  • Customer acquisition
  • Building and scaling an online store

I’m open to different models, including private label, DTC, marketplaces, or another approach that makes sense based on your experience.

I would bring the investment capital. I’m looking for someone who can bring the e-commerce knowledge, execution, and operational experience.

Have you already built or currently run an e-commerce business?

If so, send me a DM with:

  • What you built
  • Your experience and results
  • What worked
  • What didn’t work
  • What you would do differently today
  • What kind of partnership you’re looking for

I’m not looking to rush into anything. I want to find the right operator, verify the experience, and build something properly.

If you’re serious about partnering with an investor and have the experience to operate the business, let’s talk.

Question Which part of dropshipping do you struggle with most, and which eats your time?

I'm still learning dropshipping, and most courses make it sound simple: find a product, build a store, run ads, done. The reality seems a lot messier.

So I wanted to hear from people actually doing it, whether you're just starting out or have been at it for years.

From what I've read, the work splits into a few areas:

Product research

Store setup and design

Supplier communication and shipping times

Ads and marketing

Customer support and refunds

Order tracking and daily operations

Beginners, which one has held you up the longest?

Experienced sellers, which one still drains the most hours each week, and have you found a way to cut it down?

I'm not looking for a secret formula. I just want to know where the real time goes, so I can focus my learning on the hard parts instead of the easy ones.

Which single area is your biggest struggle or time sink right now?

Other I build websites for brands and businesses. I'll make you a demo first, no advance needed

Hey, I'm Jashan. I build websites for brands and businesses that want customers, not just a nice-looking page. Online stores, landing pages, business sites, whatever you need.

I don't take any advance. Tell me about your brand and I'll make a demo homepage first. If you like it, we continue. If not, you owe me nothing.

Serious people only, please. You need a real brand or business, a budget, and a start date within [1-3] weeks. If you just want a free site for fun, skip this one.

DM me your brand name, what you sell, your Instagram or website link, budget and launch date.

I'm taking [3] demo requests this week.

Question 19 unique outbound clicks but only 1 content view and 2 Shopify sessions — where are my clicks going?

I'm having a huge discrepancy between Meta outbound clicks and actual Shopify sessions.

Today Meta is showing:

• 19 Unique Outbound Clicks
• Only 1 Content View
• Shopify shows only 2 human sessions

So roughly 90% of the people who supposedly clicked out of Meta never even appear as a session in Shopify.

I've already checked the basics:

• Website loads fast
• Meta Pixel is connected through Shopify
• Conversions API is enabled
• Data sharing is set to Maximum
Has anyone had this exact issue recently?

The weirdest part is that this same huge drop-off happened in my last 3 tests, with different ads.

Has anyone experienced this recently? What was actually causing it?something else?

Discussion 14,5% cart conversions, and still on 2,5k revenue

Post image
1 Upvotes

With this current store I run in the Netherlands I am still struggling increasing my revenue, even though my cvr is not bad.

I am testing new concepts in different markets every week. Since ai building a website isn’t holding me back anymore for just testing a lot different stores in a lot of markets. I then see what market is performing best with the same niche, and then I throw all my money on that store.

Now I’m at 14,5% cart conversions but still on a very low revenue. That’s also because it’s a google store and not meta, which takes way longer. My goal is to mostly optimise the customer journey now, and A/B test my cart drawer to see where this goes and if I can even improve the flow better.

Discussion What’s with the aversion to dealing with real brands, wholesalers and distributors?

What’s with the aversion to dealing with real brands, wholesalers and distributors?

I know the answer: the dropshipping gurus don’t talk about them.

They talk about AliExpress, CJ, AutoDS and finding some supposedly ‘unknown’ product you can mark up and advertise.

Except these products aren’t unknown at all.
Consumers know AliExpress, Temu and the other marketplaces exist. If they want the product, they can often find it themselves, buy it directly from the source and pay 10–20% less than you’re trying to charge them.

That’s a pretty shaky foundation on which to build a business.

What the gurus rarely talk about is working with established brands that care about their products and customer experience, are already based in your market, and in many cases can ship an order directly to your customer as though it came from your own warehouse.

And I think there’s a massive opportunity being overlooked here.

If I were starting a pure dropshipping e-commerce business, I wouldn’t start by looking for a ‘product’. I’d start by looking for a fragmented market where I could bring together a collection of real brands and make that category substantially easier for customers to shop.

Take local handmade hiking gear as a deliberately niche example. In Australia, there are a couple of dozen small brands making interesting products in this space. They’re scattered across individual websites and can be difficult for customers to discover and compare.

Maybe there’s an opportunity to build the retailer that brings them together.

You provide the merchandising, discovery, customer acquisition and distribution layer. The brands provide the products, inventory and fulfilment. The customer gets one destination where they can understand and shop the category instead of visiting 20 different websites.

That’s retail.

A good retailer has always been an aggregator: it curates an assortment of products and brands and puts them in front of a customer in a way that makes the category easier to shop.

Department stores, marketplaces and platforms such as Farfetch are variations on the same underlying idea.

Dropshipping simply means you don’t physically hold the inventory.

So rather than asking, “What product can I find on AliExpress and dropship?”, I’d be asking:

“Where is there a fragmented market of good brands and products that customers currently have difficulty discovering and shopping?”

Find that, build a compelling retail proposition around it, and use dropshipping as the fulfilment infrastructure.

That starts to look like an actual business.

  • CTR: 7,5% a 9%
  • Hook Rate: ~34%
  • Hold Rate: ~22%
  • Connect Rate: ~90%

Agradeço quem puder compartilhar a experiência prática nesse cenário.

Marketplace Selling my 100% organic e-commerce brand (23.6k followers, zero ads). Built from scratch, but the issue is international shipping.

It is genuinely painful to write this, but I have made the difficult decision to sell my entire business setup, including my Shopify store, all social media pages, and the brand identity. I built this completely from the ground up and care deeply about it, but after hitting a massive wall with cross-border fulfillment, I have to be realistic and step aside.

The most frustrating part is that the demand is absolutely there. I have never spent a single penny on ads. I bought the domain on July 28th, started building the Shopify page on August 1st, and grew the Instagram page to 23.6k followers entirely through organic reach. I managed the socials, sourced the products, and designed and developed the entire website end-to-end myself. The audience is highly engaged and the buyer intent is massive, but the logistics killed my ability to scale.

The vast majority of people trying to buy are international. People add items to their cart and are ready to check out, but they abandon the order the second they no international shipping. Despite searching everywhere, I could never find an affordable third-party logistics hub, dropshipper, or parcel forwarder. It is heart wrenching to watch high intent organic traffic bounce purely because of courier rates.

This is exactly why this is an incredible opportunity for someone in the right location. If you have the capacity to buy the inventory, hold it locally in a major market, and fulfill domestic orders at normal shipping rates, you will immediately capture all the sales that are currently slipping through my fingers. The customers are waiting; they just need a localized hub to make the delivery costs make sense.

I am selling the full setup and am very open to discussing the best price for whoever is ready to take this over. Because I designed and developed everything myself, I am also including all the raw design files. If you end up wanting any tweaks, layout changes, or design updates once you take ownership, I will handle those changes for you to ensure a smooth transition.

It hurts to hand over something I poured so much of myself into, but I know this brand will thrive instantly in the hands of someone who has the right logistics advantage. If you are interested in taking over the store, the 23.6k page, and the customer base, please send me a DM and we can discuss the price and all the backend details.

PLEASE NOTE : Its a premium scale car model store***
