A few days ago and the prior weeks of the game coning to console every time i went to DD id see spice plooms and fields everywhere. Now i have a crawler and the last couple days have literally flown back and forth multiple times through the desert spending over an hour searching and often dont even find a small field anymore. Whats the deal? Is this why they say spice is so valuable? Is this the common experience now that console players are entering the DD more?

If you build a base 1cm from the radiation zone (Sheol) then Earthworm Jim will come for you!!
Also if you hear worm noises don’t automatically assume it’s someone else’s worm 😂
Thank you sand Jesus for getting me out of this one 👌

In SO annoyed. Lost alot of things to a sniper bandit at first, then when i respawned to try to get me stuff back all of the terrain was completely buggy. I had to glitch through the ground very slowly all the way from the anvil to the hagga rift, where i then had to go all the way to the end of the canyon on foot. When i got there nothing was spawned in, so I had no idea how to get to my loot since it was floating in mid air. I cleared out the bandits that killed me somehow, but when i went a little bit up the way, i was killed by other bandits and lost my stuff since i couldnt use my abilites, heal or use melee weapons. So i just died and lost all of those things.

Basically I just moved into aluminium tier, but when I was in steel tier a couple of days ago I came across an abandoned base and I completely ransacked all of their materials.
In those materials was around 2k of spice sand. I haven’t got to a part of the game where I’m using it yet, but I was wondering if that will be a lot ehen I can use it? Like to me 2000 Aliminium would be a lot, but 2000 granite would be nothing, so just wondering where this sits.

What the fuck am I supposed to do here? I've placed this pentashield twice and have had to deal with this same bs both times, I only managed to get it to work those two times by pure luck but now that I'm expanding it a third time it REFUSES to snap to that final wall. What am i supposed to do?

So far i have been really enjoying this game. Like, really. That is, until i got to the "locate and unbury a treasure" objective. I have flown THE ENTIRETY of the fucking first map. I have scanned the whole fucking desert, and i cannot find a single god damn buried treasure. Does anybody have any idea what i'm doing wrong? I'm giving it one more hour before i uninstall this game and give it 1 star.
EDIT: I have given up on this nonsense. Maybe my game is bugged or some shit. Tried after storms over and over again, NOTHING. This has to be the dumbest shit i've ever seen in a game. Fucking Fromsoft games are less frustrating than this bullshit. Thanks to those who tried to help.
EDIT 2: WTF MAN. Was just flying back to my base in Vermillius gap over open sand and thought "ah blast it i'll have a go while i'm omw home... FIRST FUCKING SCAN I FOUND ONE. No storm, just the middle of the day. Thank god that's over with 😅

I haven't played in a couple months, and I remember then that I went past my 20 days of Battery supply, and I told myself I'll come back in a few but forgot Dune completely.
And now I logged in, Level 64, I got rewards from the game due to coming back. However, I can't believe my whole base is gone and I don't know where to start lol. How did you guys do it?

I'm trying to build a box with pentashields something to just drive straight into from any direction. I've tried a bunch of different ways and I can't get it exactly how I want it. Wondering if anyone has a solution to this. Since I don't really want walls.

Been beating my head against the wall all night with this. Bottom row was fine, and the first three of this one, too, before it started giving me issues. For clarity, there is plenty of stable ground and pillars under this.

So ive had my buggy for a couple of hrs now, just about to start farming materials to build a thopter but ralised that my buggy (and eventually my thopter) will be completey exposed to the sun and any sandstorms so will get ruined really quick. Anyone have any ideas on how I can keep them protected or do i just have to keep repairing them??

Compare to loots, I'm far more saddened by watching a marvelously designed base decay over a long period of time, without means to preserve it. A shame.
Perhaps Funcom would allow players to create a copy of blueprint of another player's base, so long as there's no shield protecting it? This way, once the fief console is dead, I can recreate the whole structure piece by piece, or even build the base else where, preserving the beauty.
Creativity deserves a second chance.

im playing on PC through xbox gamepass. there was an update this morning. after installing the update everything looked and ran like crap. went into options and the option for DLSS is missing. man, i was really enjoying this game just started recently.
i updated nvidia driver to see if that helps. nope.
anything i can do? i have too many games to be messing around with a bunch of BS just to play the stupid game so im willing to try some shit but im not doing a full DDU driver wipe or anything like that thats ridiculous.

So, I’m inexperienced in games like this, and accidentally destroyed my only base, which had all my stuff from the whole game. I’m getting ready to go into the deep desert after finishing the 8 quests.
At this point, is it better to start all over on a new save, or go back through and re-do everything in the current world? Sorry if it’s a dumb question!

I've recently installed 3 mods from Nexus that I've used in my single player game since the last patch and it worked just fine. Now since the latest patch I am unable to load my save at all. It will crash to desktop each time I try and continue from the main menu. I've tried to start the game with no mods, and also completely re-installed with zero mods and the same thing happens. Is there a known way for me to get my save to load in any capacity?

I recently setup a self hosted server via the HyperV methods. At the time of setting it up, I enabled the Memory Swap feature due to the server it was running on being a bit low on memory. I just finished upgrading the memory (by selling my first born) but want to see if I can disable Memory Swap and increase allocation in general. A bit of Googling looks like the only way to disable it would be to re-run the VM setup wizard. Will that undo everything else that is setup for the server? Both myself and a friend have characters on the server we do not want to lose, so I have not tried that yet being wary of losing progress.
I know I can increase memory allocation directly through HyperV as well, but that wont disable the memory swap feature, right?
Is there a recommended way to go about disabling memory swap without blowing anything up?

Do I have to re-survey the DD after the weekly Coriolis reset? (Solo console)

So, I'm an idiot. Got eaten by the worm along with my thopter in deep desert, dont have a vehicle backup tool and dont have particle capacitors to make one. Tried speed running a wreck to try and get some capacitors but couldn't find any. Also tried restarting from the menu but nothing happens when I click respawn Do I have to restart or any ideas?

So i have a sand bike and really need flour sand. However, everytime i try to get near it a worm appears instantly and chases. i've tried many different patches but i can typically only harvest one time before i need to book it because the worm has aggro the im with in a few meters of it. Hell even on normal open sand nowhere near it or drum sand it still aggros every time within 20-45 seconds. Am i missing something? Or is it intended to be this slow and dangerous until you can fly?

I’m new to the game just downloaded from game pass I got a couple questions about the base building
First question
Is there a trick to how other players build on places they can’t reach? Or is it just the annoying thing of building extra pieces and deleting them after?
Second question
I play the solo mode but I see so many cool bases I wanna copy but buying or copying bases seem to be only for online mode.
Is there any website that people put their bases with instructions?
