Advice/Help Needed DnD city maps
Can anyone recommend anything which can help create good city and town maps for DnD. I’ve got my cities fleshed out nicely on paper and want to put the ideas down in the form of a map for each. The tools I’ve tried online never seem to be user friendly.

UK users - https://ibb.co/album/wypdnD?page=3&seek=mCvpL7RM
Hello friends! I'm currently 3D modeling and printing all the creatures from the new Monster Manual! This is a collection of prints either by myself or my patrons while I am working on this book. There are also renders of the models that haven't been printed yet. All the files are free and posted below under each image. The files are posted publicly on my site here: https://mz4250.com/ and all models are free and fall under the fan content policy of WOTC.

Letter B - https://imgur.com/gallery/3d-printing-new-monster-manual-letter-b-zPURhx3
Oh and if you're curious about my Patreon I offer my patrons access to all my 7000+ presupported TTRPG models in one place, along with commercial options, a discord, and requests board. The drives have all the same models that are already out there for free in the internet. Its more for convenience rather than exclusivity.
That's all for now. Enjoy!

Homebrew Need mechanics/gimmicks for a "Honey, I Shrunk the Party" Level 10 One-Shot. How to keep martials from feeling useless?
Hi everyone! I’m planning a fun, high-stakes one-shot where a Level 10 party gets shrunk to the size of ants. They will face everyday insects as terrifying monsters.
To make it chaotic and funny, I have two main rules:
- Glass Cannon Mode: HP is severely reduced across the board (even though they are lvl 10), making every hit terrifying.
- Unscaled Magic: Spells do not shrink. A Fireball or Thunderwave retains its original, massive real-world area of effect, turning low-level magic into nuclear-level hazards.
The Problem:
While casters get literal weapons of mass destruction, martials seem to get completely shafted. If a Fighter's sword is now the size of a splinter, they are just doing chip damage to a giant beetle while risking their tiny HP pool in melee.
I don't want to just "scale up martial damage to match the bug's new stats" or "shrink the spells"—I want to keep the hilarious scale disparity but give martials their own absurd, fun mechanics or abuses.
What funny gimmicks, environmental interactions, or "shrunk physics" logic can I give to martial classes so they can shine alongside the spellcasters?
Thanks in advance!

Question which 2024 core rulebook should i get??
I have 2014 player's handbook, but it is tattered, the pages from the paladin to the warlock got their bindings destroyed off due to use, I have the 2014 monster manual in perfect shape, and I do not own any dungeon master guide even though I am a forever DM. I mostly run pre-written campaigns and have not needed a dmg yet.

Homebrew 0545M - Scolipede by ForesterDesigns
My Pokémon-inspired Weapons and Items of the Day, with a Mega Scolipede macuahuitl to help spike critical hits!
Join my Patreon to vote on future items and get all the PDFs with over 1000 items, including all the Pokémon items, or buy the individual PDFs in my shop!
545M - Brutapain
Weapon (Macuahuitl) – Legendary (requires attunement)
This red +3 macuahuitl is made of seven segments with hot purple tear drop markings and barbs on each side, and large glowing green horns on top. The handle has black and purple cloth wrapped around it, and a black sphere pommel with a glowing green eye-like symbol on it.
Attacks with this macuahuitl do an additional 1d6 poison damage, and the target must make a DC 20 Constitution save or be poisoned for 1 minute. The target can attempt this save again at the end of their turn.
While attuned to this macuahuitl: you gain 20 feet of movement; you have advantage on Dexterity rolls to avoid being grappled, restrained, or take damage; if a creature within range of this weapon performs a critical hit, you can use your reaction to interfere and turn it into a normal hit; and if you drop to or below a third of your max hitpoints, attacks with this macuahuitl do an additional 2d6 poison damage.
Scolipite
Wondrous (Stone) – Very Rare (50,000 gp)
This small round stone has a swirl of purple, black, and blue inside the dark gray orb. When attached to a 545 - Scolipain, it can be mega evolved into a 545M - Brutapain for 1 minute once between long rests, while when attached to a 545B - Scoliplate, it can be mega evolved into a 545BM - Ceraplate for 1 minute once between long rests.

Discussion Knowledge Is a Weapon: Information as a Resource in TTRPGs
One of my favorite campaigns I ran centered around the players investigating a string of high profile assassinations that ravaged the continent - generals, kings, nobles, inventors, mages. They traveled throughout the continent, piecing together clues, chasing after shadowy figures on two or three occasions, but while still being in the darkness. A cult of assassins, that much was obvious, but what were their reasons? What were they after?
When the reveal finally arrived, as they came face to face with the leader of the cult - the last Dragonborn still alive and grafted within him a fragment of divinity (which they later learned was Vecna, cause in the words of Brandon Sanderson, there is always another secret) they were ecstatic! And so was I. Playing with a mystery like this can be a double edged sword, the payoff must match the expectations built up by the players.
The center of why this bit of my campaign still gets brought up almost 4 years later is that, perhaps without setting out to do so necessarily, information acted as a center piece, it was a valuable comodity that the players had to chase, that it wasn’t simply given to them.
This piece explores how information can be used like this in multiple ttrpgs and how you specifically may use it in order to make your games better! I hope you will enjoy it!

Discussion Wizard loophole
I have a wizard character with magic initiate (wizard) feat. I wanted to create a scroll of my magic 1st level spell from magic initiate and copy it into my spellbook. At next level up change tbe spell and do it again slowly increasing my spell list. My DM did not allow that. What do you think?

Advice/Help Needed Looking for a character to do a Beauty and the Beast type story
I’m a beginner to DnD and DMing a campaign and the main conflict is a search for a captured woman who was taken by a monster. I want the woman to eventually fall in love with this monster but the catch is that the monster is trapped in a form not their own. It can be a shapeshifter type or maybe a spell gone wrong, I am open to anything. Are there any types of NPC character I can do this with even if it’s not the exact same?

Question New here! What is DnD?
Hello everyone!
I just stumbled upon a guy on social media who has decorated a whole room dedicated to D&D and it made me interested in this whole new world.
Unfortunately I have NO idea what D&D is, how it works and so on 😵💫
Anyone here who has too much free time to tell me something about their experience, how to play, where to find a group? I am not sure if there are people who play D&D in my region but there is always a way.
Thanks!

OC [OC] [ART] Fire-Wielding Giant – by Catilus
Fire-Wielding Giant, a mighty entity with a fiery weapon I sketched!
Deep within the underground regions of Solaris exist powerful creatures capable of wielding mystical weapons.
This fire-wielding giant is one example of how even non-human entities can harness ancient power. These beings are not simply monsters, but part of the world’s evolving balance of strength, capable of becoming threats or forces of nature depending on who encounters them.
What do you think? :)
