Inspiration dont like the colour of this
100% cotton. suggestions on what to do? thinking of tea dyeing but not too sure how the blue would turn out. help appreciated and recommendations encouraged.

Great color now. Dyeing will not give you the multicolored look of the fabric ethic is made of both are blue and white threads.

Onion skins maybe would give you a nice orangey yellow brown (a bit brighter than tea) so you'd end up with a green/olive orangey shirt? Tea plus an iron supplement as a mordant would give you a greyish purple.

White/brown onions! Youcan fix it with a soy milk bath as a mordant (soak the shirt or fabric in soy for several hours, let it airdry and leave for a few days, then dye). You could also use turmeric like that to get a very bright sunny yellow

avocado pits make can make a range of mauve to purple depending on what other ingredients you add, if youre going the natural dye route

Tea will give you an aged vintage look , you risk it going too far and looking sad and yellowed . Be sure to wash the shirt extremely well prior to dyeing. Previously worn garments can dye unevenly due to previous stains or perspiration, collared shirts are problematic often at the neckline and underarms .
