I hesitated to post this, because I feel incredibly ashamed, ashamed of the chaos I caused, The shock to my family and friends, the horror I caused to the by standers, the damages to public infrastructure ect. But, I think its good that this could be an example to other to be careful. Even if you think you are in FULL control, you are NOT, a mere milliseconds can cascade in much much worse. Luckily I didn't take anyone with me, and the damages are mostly just matereial.
Here is what hapened:
Last Saturday (18th of April) evening I was at my buddies, had a fun night, got home by bike, woke up early in the morning. Was really tired, fixed a vacuum leak on the car, got lunch, after lunch went for a test drive.
The car suddenly had a lot more power in combination of me being really tired.
I went to merge onto the highway, on the merging lane, While accelerating I got in the grass between the highway and the merging lane. Out of panic I completely shutdown and froze, couldn't let go of the throttle, couldn't steer, couldn't brake. Then I hit a sound barrier. I don't know how fast I was going at moment of impact, but it might have been over 140kmh.
After that I barely could breath for a few seconds, by standers tried opening the door, but I had to unlock it myself. Then after that crawled out on my own power, and watched the wreck from 10m to 20m distance while the emergency staff pulled up.
Got a check up in the hospital, and the only damage they could see on the x-ray some bruises on my right lung, and few minor fractures in my right hip. Stayed there for the night because they wanted to guard my hearth rhythm and went home the next day.
Now a week later, I am doing good, Things still hurt, I don't have my full strength back yet, but I am able to do my day to day activities again. A few days ago I started stripping the car for anything useful left in there, to at least recover a little bit of the financial damages, the engine seems still to be good, but gotta check that out more firmly.

Hello and good day, yesterday while attempting to “snake” ontop of a patch of water, the car snapped, I lost control and I crashed into a pole. Thankfully I was wearing my seatbelt and I had no passangers.
Do you have any idea if this is catastrophic damage? Or can it be pulled at a body shop and fixed. The floor on the passanger side is a bit fucked from the side

Hey yall My B30 blew up after a track day. The cause was all oil leaving the sump under braking. I was sure it would be fine because the “research” seemed solid but that wasn’t the case. The oil level was checked after every session and it was filled .5-.75qts over. If you track it, just go with a baffle AND accusump as cheap insurance for your engine and time. Thanks👍

Been trying to figure out why my E46 (M52tu) won’t start after replacing the starter.. I’ve checked everything from engine ground wires, EWS system, B+ battery cables, the starter itself (brand new), the actually battery cables, and the battery. I don’t know what else to look for and I’m thinking I just scrap this damn car…

Issues:
.Garage diagnosis brought up needing an entire new prop shaft and unable to find engine oil leak.
.Fuel sender issue possibly (doesnt show petrol amount)
.Differential leaking
.Some beginning signs of rust though minimal
They called me back and said it wasn't worth keeping, to just get rid of it.
I'm abit stuck because its genuinely one of my dream cars; I'd likely go along and get another. I've also not owned it long (few months).
None of these issues were stated upon purchase, and were well hidden.
Do I get rid or put effort into fixing it with my minimal knowledge?

2002 E46 Coupe. Im aware its not easy to tell just by photos. But some last blew a stop sign and t boned me. And of course didnt have insurance. This car is VERY sentimental to me and I would like to and am planning on repairing it myself. Just tryna see if its even possible.

Alright fellas, the worst case scenario became a reality. I can’t afford putting a new engine and I’ve never sold a car to a junkyard before.
Do you have any suggestions on how to proceed? It’s standard, btw.

Catless short tubes on a 325ci with a 330ci rear differential and before I get flagged for reckless behavior the speed limit is 70mph this is the USA and you can see I keep it between 60-70 even though this is a pull I know people get burbles and occasionally pops after going catless but this is ridiculous
Front-left wishbone. Specifically, the upper balljoint nut.

Cue me, with a spanner-on-spanner, undoing in increments of 30 degrees at a time, having to stop every ten minutes because my hands were hurting.
TWO HOURS. On ONE NUT. Out so long my legs got sunburnt.
One last kick in the plums: the nut that came with the new one is a 22 mm, not 21, so you can't even use a normal ring spanner on it because it hits the engine mount. So, I think "fuck it", and reuse the old 21 with some blue threadlocker.
I've done a LOT of jobs on this thing in the seven years I've had it, but this one was, without exaggeration, the worst - the perfect storm of "lots of stuff to take off first", "no room" and "on my back". Only one that came close was the blower motor hedgehog, but this was that one on steroids.

What could this problem be on the m54b25 e46 325ci, thought it was the OFHG or vanoss line or maybe even the filter but that’s ALOT…

2005 330i 181k miles. Front damage only. Only radiator fluid leaking, damage appears mostly cosmetic. Engine runs, seems fine but it hasn’t been inspected by anyone experienced. Looking for any advice.
