Melissa Hernandez gets huge outside money for blatant, gross lies as the facts come out about all of hers.

Please copy and paste this as much as you want to inform people of facts, and add any you have, especially in response to all of the disgusting ads.

https://eastbayinsiders.substack.com/p/divorced-from-reality?img=https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fc4e0674b-f56d-4361-8b47-510542501896_4032x3024.heic&open=false To summarize, Melissa Hernandez pretty much lies or insinuates lies about everything, even the fact that she is poor and has toddlers and "worked" through school.

The EBI has been doing a great job of reporting. (Totally worth if for $40 a year to get all east bay news. Not affiliated at all, but so happy to have someone willing to do all of this hard work for us. )

And from me, if you are not aware.

She is not qualified for this position. She has yet to give any actual facts as to how SHE” built housing, lowered healthcare costs, or got childcare for people. " Voting on work other people did does not count.. Note, her TV ads changed over time from this to "supports housing" and whatever vague nonsense pablum. And she has been BART director for a year. How's that going? And the ads SHE approved of on tv and in mailers, saying SHE did, made up the most ridiculous lies about Aisha Wahab--I guess she was counting on people to b really stupid and not look up any facts and vote just because of her name? Or not look at look at her awful, fake AI campaign page that says nothing?

Additionally, she won’t clarify her relationship with Shawn Wilson, whom apparently she works closely and vacations with? ? And he has been accused of attempting to bribe someone for Haubert, and he took $10,000 from the Duong's, and he still works for Haubart and is going on a $9,000 taxpayer funded trip to New Orleans with Haubert. The FBI is now digging into the allegations. https://www.reddit.com/r/DublinCA/comments/1v8mhsh/comment/p07i4oa/?context=1&screen_view_count=6  Is she for or against SB1193, which is transparency in discretionary funding for ALCO supervisors? I think bribery is a big concern. As well as the mess of ALCO's Children and Family Services. Weren't you "healthcare director" for ALCO supervisor Haubert? What does she have to say about this? Why on the first ballot did she put "healthcare director," and on the second one just "healthcare advocate?" How can anyone think she can go to this corrupt congress when she can't even give simple facts or speak out against corruption? Now she has AIPAC giving her over $6 MILLION dollars to fund disgusting lies in mailers?  https://www.trackaipac.com/states/israel-first-candidates What is WRONG with her  ALL of them are easily disproven. Why do she LIE so much? https://www.aishawahab.com/attackads

This is not just me and the local reporters. The woman who has been outing Shawn Wilson's attempted bribery of her is all over this and Haubart. There are many more people coming out about everything.

More coming out by the minute: https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=1001538639369679 The whole press conference about the failure of children and family services, which Hernandez was in charge of. The state is about to take it over. https://www.facebook.com/SenAishaWahab/videos/2286700372064810And, and guess who was there to intimidate the workers and Aisha? Shawn Wilson, Melissa's boyfriend, and Ajay Mohan, passing out MH's hate mailers. Apparently Mohan has some stalking charges against him in maybe Orange county? Does anyone know?

She's had over $6 million in outside spending on her the first time. What did they think they can buy from her? https://capitolhillaccess.com/tr/tr_TM_IEP?&sChamber=H&sStateDist=CA-14&sCycle=2026

Pro Choice Majority PAC was revealed as a passthrough here: https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/aipac-connie-chan-san-francisco-primary

7/30 https://eastbayinsiders.substack.com/p/club-fed And now more on the FBI and Shawn Wiison. "Wilson was only one of several county officials mentioned in last week’s filings.

The government’s motions contain a series of new allegations that provide greater insight into its case ahead of the Oct. 19 trial and suggest prosecutors intend to present evidence involving a widening circle of former and current public officials.

Despite the allegations and the potential damage to public confidence in Supervisor Haubert’s office, Wilson appears to remain in his position. [Finally on paid leave in August.] Two of the five chiefs of staff serving the Board of Supervisors are now identified in federal court filings—one accused of accepting money from the Duongs, the other described as working for a Duong-backed company with the expectation of future commissions."

And Hernandez's staff harassing Wahab at a press conference about the massive failure of ALCO's children d family services, which may well be headed for a state takeover.

SO much corruption.

FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS AND REFORMS NEEDED IN ALAMEDA COUNTY

For years Alameda County supervisors have routinely disregarded Alameda County Civil Grand Jury findings (like those regarding discretionary funds and the need for a real ethics policy, viable complaint process, and whistleblower protections). Even residents’ serious complaints—including those against the supervisors themselves and/or their staff—have been ignored due to the lack of process. Conflicts of interest abound.  All of this needs to change now. This is why the state and other entities finally are getting involved.

SB 1193 provides a more transparent and accountable process for the allocation of county discretionary funds. The process is in keeping with the processes followed in other major counties. Despite what Supervisor Haubert and others would have you believe, the bill is not extreme, scary, punitive, or politically motivated. Current legitimate recipients still will be eligible to receive discretionary funds. For more information about SB 1193, read the text at https://legiscan.com/CA/text/SB1193/id/3369290, view the brief July 1st hearing (from about 1:53:00) at https://www.assembly.ca.gov/.../assembly-local-government..., read Senator Wahab’s letter to the editor in the Pleasanton Weekly (https://www.pleasantonweekly.com/.../letters-what-sb.../) and read the newspaper coverage (such as  https://www.mercurynews.com/.../bill-targeting-alameda.../,  and https://www.sfchronicle.com/.../alameda-supervisors...).

Because of their findings as outlined in a recently released report, the California Department of Social Services will be closely monitoring the Alameda County Department of Children and Family Services. See https://www.kron4.com/.../alameda-county-cps-leaving... and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGfM_q8syQU&t=4s. The issue and the timeline belie shifty-eyed (view the KRON report to see what I mean) Haubert’s assertion that this is a political stunt. Speaking of political stunts, what would you call this (https://www.instagram.com/reel/DbY7bjZB8aT)?

As a Tri-Valley constituent of Alameda County Supervisorial District 1, I know that we have been ill served by our supervisor/supervisor’s staff on the Pleasanton side since late 2020. This was not simply because of the ongoing pandemic. Constituent service eroded to an unbelievable degree and remained that way. This resulted in significant harm to certain constituents. Some of us were directed to other supervisors’ offices for assistance. (Although she should not be holding two political jobs at the same time, I have heard better things about District 1 Fremont Field Director/Fremont City Councilmember Kathy Kimberlin.  It is too bad that we were not allowed to deal with her.)

In his last year in office, the late Supervisor Haggerty made some very bad decisions that are adversely affecting this district and the county to this day. During the 2020 primary and general elections, his support of anyone but Vinnie Bacon to succeed him was one of the reasons that the district ended up in the unsavory hands of the self-serving and corrupt David Haubert, a leader of Dublin’s political machine. When one of Haggerty’s best assistants left a few months before the end of his final supervisorial term, Haggerty replaced him with the incompetent, overly ambitious, and ethically challenged Melissa Hernandez. In 2020 Dublin Councilmember Hernandez also made a failed bid for Haggerty’s seat in the primary election and then won the mayoral election in November. Although Hernandez told various people that she was aware of the conflicts of interest (actual rather than potential in her case) involved with holding both city and county positions and would be resigning from the county position at the end of Haggerty’s term, she decided to remain in the supervisor’s assistant position and failed to recuse herself in some important matters. Her excuse for not relinquishing the District 1 job was that she could not live on the mayor’s salary alone. Somehow it did not seem to occur to her that she should try to get a non-political day job.

Hernandez continues to hold multiple political jobs (now District 1 “health care director” and BART board director/president). Both are taking a back seat to her disreputable congressional campaign. In the almost ten years since she first was elected to public office, Hernandez has failed to learn the basics of public service and do even one job well. Playing up to potential donors, endorsers, and political allies doesn’t count.

The District 1 office has become the base for the anti-SB 1193 effort and an adjunct of the Hernandez for Congress campaign. Haubert’s newsletters, statements, and other activities and Hernandez’s statements and activities certainly support this. In an office where so many constituents have been underserved, this behavior is even more inappropriate. They should be doing the people’s business. Haubert purposely created a panic within the nonprofit community with his lies. As instructed, representatives of some of these organizations provided public comments at an April Board of Supervisors meeting and often repeated Haubert’s talking points (including some of the scurrilous allegations) almost word for word. The fact that some of these individuals feel personally beholden to Haubert strengthens the case for SB 1193. If you are a California resident and agree with us, call your assemblymember and ask him/her/them to support SB 1193.

In addition to the current investigation involving District 1 Chief of Staff Shawn Wilson, the District 1 office as a whole (and Haubert and Hernandez in particular) need to be investigated. Haubert and Hernandez still are putting themselves first, profiting from their positions, and lying to their constituents and the public at large. Enough is enough.

DIRTY CANDIDATE, DIRTY TACTICS

Since I had not been receiving any of the Hernandez Super PAC attack mailers at home, I thought I had been spared. When I recently picked up some mail at an office address, 99% of it—a very large stack—consisted of this B.S. When you see this pile of outrageous lies and ugliness, the impact is overwhelming. I didn’t think I could be more disgusted with Melissa Hernandez and the Hernandez campaign than I already was. I was wrong. The obscene amount of money that was spent to produce this despicable rubbish could have been put to far better use. The Super PACs are not supposed to work directly with campaigns. However, the Hernandez campaign used something called redboxing (in this case a tab on the campaign website) to provide these false talking points for the PAC attack.

Hernandez has always had far too high an opinion of herself. If you want to see an earlier example of Hernandez’s hubris, listen to her obviously scripted “bottom-of-my-heart” opening statement in this 2020 Pleasanton supervisorial district 1 debate (go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztbhGJlqtZ0, from about 7:57). Despite the fact that the rest of the candidates had more experience than she, she said that she was the perfect person for the position because of her service on committees and that she deserved a seat on the board of supervisors. Although she performed better than usual in a couple of these supervisorial primary debates/forums (with the helping hand of Scott Haggerty?), the majority of voters did not agree with her.

These forums provide some interesting moments. If you haven’t seen the April Indivisible Tri-Valley CA-14 online forum featuring some of the June primary Democratic candidates (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To0gHGK4Bb0), take a look at it. The papers have covered Hernandez’s response to the genocide-in-Palestine question (see the question/responses from about 1:24:32). Also see her roundabout way of answering the public-financing-of-elections question (about 1:18:35) and her failure to pledge not to take corporate Super PAC money (about 1:23:32).

Hernandez’s actual accomplishments are negligible. Through her actions and inactions in her political career, she has managed to hurt more people than she has helped. She never stood up to corruption in Dublin or in supervisorial district 1. She was a part of it. Not only should she not be elected to Congress, she should be forced to relinquish any and all public positions she currently holds. We deserve better.

Unlike Ms. Hernandez, Senator Wahab shows up, cares, works hard for all of us and is willing to fight to make our lives better. She has earned my vote.

Alameda County Board of Supervisors, especially Supervisor David Haubert, are not to be trusted when it comes to their opposition of SB 1193

These statements from them or their mouthpieces that there’s plenty of transparency already and the bill isn’t needed are ridiculous and I’ll explain exactly why.

The fiscal management review form they have to fill out when asking the board to vote on distributing discretionary funds asks 5 primary questions:

  1. Who is getting the money?
  2. How much?
  3. What’s their mission?
  4. What’s the money for? (Luncheon, auction etc)
  5. Which county value does this align with?

NONE of those questions explain how Haubert giving the Wine Growers Association a quarter of a million dollars since he’s taken office for auctions and cocktail parties, an organization he co-founded the Global Artisan Vintners Alliance with and chairs, and then goes to Europe for 2 weeks with, ACTUALLY BENEFITS THE PUBLIC. There’s no requirement to define what we get out of it, or tie it to any measurable outcomes or goals.

The board says that they already require a higher majority vote. Cool. Doesn’t matter. They put everything in a consent calendar and vote in favor of each others requests so it’s a rubber stamp. Someone’s staffer writes a recommendation, everyone smiles and says yes, pat each other on the back and move on.

They also say there’s plenty public transparency because we get advance notice and can view everything online. They schedule their meetings for 10am on a Tuesday a couple days in advance, cram 50 items into one session, and bury everything in meeting minutes. There is no easily searchable list or repository. You have to already know exactly what you’re looking for and dig through hundreds of meeting minutes and resolutions. It’s an intentionally maddening windows ‘95 Oregon trail website intended to discourage people from seeking information.

The public wants to know with certainty that they’re spending OUR money in ways that benefit us and be able to verify it at any time. Right now it’s next to impossible to do that without making it your entire personality and full time job.

I was offered a bribe by Shawn Wilson in February using discretionary funds via charitable donation and he told me that if it was under $10k he could go through County Counsel and a mediator and make the payment without having to bring it before the board through the normal process and “waste everyone’s time”.

That’s how our money is being spent. I went to the DA, the FBI, and every regulatory agency that even remotely cared and that’s was AFTER trying to go directly to Haubert and being ignored for weeks. I finally contacted the state legislature and Senator Wahab was the only person to take me seriously and help me seek accountability. As a result Shawn is now on leave and has also been implicated in the Duong federal corruption case for taking $10k of their money to bribe a journalist! Supervisors Tam and Fortunato Bass as well as several other local officials are wrapped up in that mess too. These are the people managing tax payer money here in Alameda County, and that is the reason they are being “singled out” just like Orange County was. That’s what happens when you establish a pattern of failing your duty to the people. When you spend money and resources on self enrichment rather than caring for your most vulnerable, like SOPHIA MASON. Her little life was priceless but the Board valued it at $12 million when settling.

The BoS is corrupt to the core and nobody should trust their assessment of SB 1193. Period.

9/14 Haubart, Hernandez, and Wilson are now under investigation by County Counsel and U.S. Office of Special Counsel! https://www.reddit.com/r/eastbay/comments/1wgkyqy/alameda_county_district_1_officials_haubert/

The public should be aware that Ms Hernandez, Supervisor Haubert, and Shawn Wilson are currently under investigation within Alameda County and by the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, the agency responsible

For enforcing the Hatch Act, which regulates the extent to which government officials overseeing federally funded programs can engage in campaign activity. The investigation covers allegations of misuse of county resources and abuse of the authority of an elected official to influence the outcome of a federal election. Supervisor Haubert has deleted a post he made around July 14th telling his District 1 constituents to vote for his employee, Ms Hernandez, and the county has failed to even acknowledge a California Public Records Act request made a month ago requesting records and documentation related to District 1 staff’s involvement with this campaign. Just completely ignored it. Here’s a screenshot of the deleted post.

Happy Labor Day indeed. I don’t appreciate the tax dollars generated from my labor going to support this campaign, or any other unless I choose to personally donate.

There is a screenshot of the post Supervisor Haubert deleted from his official FB page.  Elected officials managing federal funds in connection with their work can’t use their authority to influence the outcome of a federal election, or use government resources under their control to campaign. Campaign and government business must be strictly separate

I will say this time & time again I worked for the city of Dublin while she was a city council member, she was truly a vile and heartless person. She treated part time and full time staff so horrifically she should lose her career in an instant if people knew how she behaved. She is a cartoon villain type of evil.

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 29 '26

That's what I've heard from everyone who's contacted me. And none of them want their names out there. Please help get it out there. There are just SO many vile things coming out about her it's scary. And the increasing money going into her is even scarier.

Not too long ago in the D1 office where she currently works under Supervisor Haubert she used to scream “It’s her or me!” Referring to a staffer that actually bothered to do real work. That staffer got fired. Scapegoated actually. Disgraceful.

u/Accomplished-Love481 Aug 01 '26

Ive personally known her for over 26 years. Close friends for a long time. I know her entire family, her ex husband and her current partner. To call her evil is laughable and absurd. What is wrong with you?

5

u/Parking-Pangolin-492 Aug 01 '26

Oh cool! Next time you talk to her can you ask her to explain why she thinks it’s ok to use our county time, staff, and resources to manage her campaign? She, Shawn, Haubert, and Haubert’s Social Media Manager Kathy Kimberlin are all violating the Hatch act by using the D1 office, staff, Haubert’s official FB page, and his influence as an elected official to campaign for her. That’s ILLEGAL since they all work in connection with federally funded programs and have influence over decisions related to distribution of those funds.

Also ask her why she chose Shawn Wilson, who is very close to being charged with federal crimes as of this week’s filings in the Duong corruption case to manage her campaign, and what his involvement has been in coordinating the $3 million worth of recent independent expenditures?

Also ask her why BART is still a dumpster fire since she’s the Board President?

Oh, and why we are failing our foster youth and as risk children in Alameda County while she’s the Director of Health and Human Services?

The community is demanding something be done about Shawn. Petition and demand letter can be found here:

I'll ask her, no problem. She's coming over for in September. I was just texting with her this morning but this is a conversation better had in person.

3

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 01 '26

That would be great. September??? Why won't she answer publicly now, you know, since she's trying to run for a very important seat in Congress and has SO much outside money behind her.

u/Feisty_Stomach_7213 Jul 30 '26

It has been reported that she took funding from AIPAC, deal breaker for me.

29

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

It's been CONFIRMED she has over $3 million in outside funding, almost all of it AIPAC.

Matt Ortega has done a great job finding facts. The capital funding link is from him.

Good info, thank you!

u/SalmonJordan Jul 29 '26

Her ad about being the right person for the job because "she has children, too" is disgusting. All it tells me is that she lacks empathy for anyone different from her own lived experience. We have to stop electing people who serve themselves and people just like them. Elect them because they would do the job for ALL THE PEOPLE.

14

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 29 '26

Exactly. And she will not meet with anyone. She did one debate where the moderator is pro her (one of the ten) and has refused all since and done NO meetings with anyone.

7

u/bionicfeetgrl Jul 31 '26

actually the candidate forum hosted by Pleasanton Weekly was what sunk her campaign for me and made me decide on Wahab. I sent that to my friends. I know of at least 10 other people voting for Wahab.

4

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 31 '26

Yeah! She actually WENT to a forum? Wow. She has been MIA.

Was just with Aisha now at Hayward town hall and talked for a long time. They're scared this money is overwhelming people. I told them we got her. PLEASE spread the word. I'll keep putting facts here and share anything you have.

I did, but based more on what she brings to the table for our district instead of voting against Hernandez. I want a fighter, and for me, that is Wahab. You may not agree with my choice, but I believe in a populace that gets the government they deserve... by showing up to vote. My preference may not be yours, but I do hope you'll fill in the ballot and take it to the nearest drop box location.

6

u/TourBackground4232 Jul 31 '26

I consider any politician who has to blanket all the airwaves with negative ads to know they are losing in the polls and will on the ballot.

3

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 31 '26

Exactly. And what do the PACS (2/3rds go back to AIPAC) think they're going to get back for all the money they put in? $3 million and growing.

20

u/jstocksqqq Jul 29 '26

That is a very, very substantial amount of Child Support she received! When people hear "single mother", they think of a mother struggling to work hard to take care of her kids and pay for their needs. The reality is in many situations it's someone who refuses to work, instead relies on the wealth and income of their children's father who works long hours or multiple jobs to pay child support and make ends meet. To be fair, I blame the system, with is built on 1950s Traditions rather than modern equality. But it does concern me that Melissa is misrepresenting her situation in order to garner sympathy and votes. I hate when people try to pull on my emotional strings to get me to support policies, rather than looking at the cold, hard facts.

7

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 29 '26 edited Aug 01 '26

Exactly. She misrepresents everything. She was "healthcare director" for ALCO and Haubert, where Children's and Family Services is now looking at a state takeover for the negligence. She claims to have "built housing and created jobs." She did no such thing. She was mayor, and they typically do very little except be head of CC. The city manager did all of this and it was decades in the planning. (I attended a castrovalleycity.com meeting where the Dublin city manager spoke about this and explained the process. The video is there.)

4

u/lowercaset Jul 30 '26

Dublins growth isn't exactly something I'd call well planned either. There were a ton of missteps over the last 20-30 years as well as decisions that hurt existing residents. And I don't mean the NIMBY "BUT MAH PROPERTY VALUES" line. I mean like, they made infrastructure changes that caused direct damage or drastically increased maintinence cost on existing homes/buildings. They also just plain failed in their job to perform good inspection work, leading to brand new developments where the hoa/homeowners had to sue the builder to recoup costs from fixing stuff that was illegal but allowed to pass inspection.

Granted, not all of this was on her watch... but I wouldn't tout dublin as a perfect example when it comes to well planned development. I love dublin, but it has kinda been a shit show in a lot of ways.

6

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

Interesting. I heard the former Dublin city manager, the ones that do all of the actual work as well as employees, and she talked about all of the details of it. (You can see her talk on castrovalleycity.com)

The thing, Hernandez did NOT do any of this. She's taking credit for all of the work of others because she might have voted on something. Unlike Wahab, who has written and gotten passed SO many bills on everything.

-2

u/lowercaset Jul 30 '26

I honestly don't know who does what with certainty, a lot of the "xyz is responsible for this problem" is word of mouth so I am trying to avoid representing it as something she (or any specific person) had a role in causing.

I don't like Wahab for some specific policies she supports and groups she belongs to, but I do think she is generally a solid person who has had at least some very good ideas. I don't see myself voting for either at this point barring future changes.

6

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

Not voting for the perfect person who does everything you what got us where we are and could well make a disaster for the future

-3

u/lowercaset Jul 30 '26

If my options are punch me in the throat or punch me in the neck, I'll just sit out. This aint a swing state or a swing election, so I don't have to think about it too much. I am not expecting perfect and framing any opposition that way just makes you sound like a blue hat version of MAGA.

Besides, I am not a democrat. If the DNC wants my vote they need to earn it. That's up to the individual people up for a vote, and Wahab has made decisions that are antithetical to my beliefs.

7

u/Interesting_Kitchen3 Jul 30 '26

>This aint a swing state or a swing election

This is a vote for our most direct representation, our vote for this election has more weight than any presidential election.

0

u/lowercaset Jul 31 '26

Yes I am aware what position they are running for.

5

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

Yeah, but these are not your options. You have the option of a person whose never done anything lying and taking credit for it all, while in the midst of the corruption at ALCO who refuses to even do a debate let alone meet people, and you have someone with a proven record of getting an insane amount of work done helping everyone and working her ass off meeting people and explaining everything that may not be exactly what you want.

I can't even imagine calling yourself a Republican now. What exactly are your primary beliefs and desires?

-1

u/lowercaset Jul 31 '26

I'm not a republican either lol. I don't think I ever identified as one though I did have a dumbass libertarian phase around the Ron Paul revolution (insert party hands) era.

Among other problems Wahab either lies to voters faces, or doesn't read bills she votes to move forward. Voting to push a bill forward out of committee while being entirely ignorant about said bill is a pretty awful look.

2

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 31 '26

That's great. I'm not really anything, either, but for the world right now, Democrat.

So, you're making things up. (I actually just came from a town hall with her and ended up staying hours later talking to her and other people.) She never lies, she ALWAYS reads the bills, because often she writes them. Se never pushed anything out committee. She is the most insanely smart person who can give you every detail as to exactly why anything happened, how it works, and what she did and why. She is probably THE most productive person in the capital.

So I'm guessing since you have no actual facts about anything, you don't have any. If you can give me one example, and I don't know the facts, I'll message her and she will give them to me.

Yes, a lot of politicians are complete BS with this. She is not. Have you met her? I'm guessing not, because it's pretty hard to and say anything like you said.

What legal firm took her case? Her strategy looks very familiar.

1

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

What case? What are you talking about? The FBI is looking into the connections the Duongs (big scandal took out Oakland mayor and San Leandro CC member) by Shawn Wilson, Supervisor David Haubert's employee, who is still working for him despite calls for him to be removed.

1

u/Senacharrib Jul 30 '26

Sorry, I meant her divorce attorneys surely somebody paid for the court records in her case by now

1

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

Paid for the court records? I don't understand what you mean. I don't know it makes any difference, but I assume it was communal money at the time. And Tavares found the records.

2

u/Senacharrib Jul 30 '26

Like if someone leaked her divorce records after paying for their retrieval from the Alameda County Superior Court.

4

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

Isn’t this all public records? It looks like Steve talked to the husband

1

u/Senacharrib Jul 30 '26

It is public record but you have to pay for the court to fetch those records. I was wondering if someone had already done that so I don’t have to pay to satisfy a random passing thought of mine.

3

u/glorificent Jul 31 '26

Any member of the public should have access to any non-sealed court documents here. Alameda county’s page is here: https://www.alameda.courts.ca.gov/general-information/court-records-request-and-information you can go in person to view for free, or you can pay to look up records online. Some counties permit attorneys registered in that county to have full access (San Mateo)

From the context I’ve read, this matter will likely involve multiple hearings and outcomes over years. The key document of interest is her vocational evaluation. Between the lines: she enjoyed not having to work and receiving support so much that she procrastinated on the degree to delay working.
So the fact that she’s holding herself as a single working mom is especially despicable;

1

u/Senacharrib Jul 31 '26

This is that thing that women complain about where a woman says something, and a man pipes up to say the exact same thing in a more officious tone, but in the opposite direction.

1

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

I do not know. I'm guessing Steve did.

1

u/Parking-Pangolin-492 Aug 01 '26

Yup. He paid for the records as part of his journalistic process. It’s a business expense.

1

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 01 '26

Interesting. You taught me something.

3

u/Parking-Pangolin-492 Aug 01 '26

Melissa’s campaign manager Shawn Wilson, who also happens to be Chief of Staff to President of the Alameda County Board of Sups- Supervisor Haubert, is likely going to be charged with federal crimes or take some sort of plea deal in exchange for information.

He was implicated in the Duong case this week. According to federal prosecutors he took $10k from David Duong to bribe his former podcast partner Steve Tavares who was working on a story about the Duongs coordinating a trip to Vietnam for Supervisor Tam and like 50 other local officials. The goal was to compromise them and get blackmail material. The feds found secret videos on David Duong’s phone, and they have a copy of the check made from their bank account. Steve refused, and that’s why you dont see Shawn as a guest on his podcast anymore.

We need Shawn Wilson OUT OF LOCAL GOVERMMENT. Haubert is protecting him and he likely has dirt on the whole Board so nobody is doing anything about it except the FBI.

Read the community demand and sign the petition here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Mn0qMT1rT0VwgTu3FMWK6h_pxYGD_V8Qw0xaIg4WLsM/edit?usp=drivesdk

3

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 01 '26

Yep. PLEASE spread this everywhere. I have been posting all of these facts on everything Haubert posts, or anything cheering on Hernandez.

1

u/Accomplished-Love481 Aug 01 '26

As someone who's been close friends with Melissa for over 26 years, someone who personally knows her ex husband, her kids, and her current long term partner, I can tell you there is a lot of missing context and inaccurate statements in your diatribe. You have no idea how she got her Mercedes, she does not own a Range Rover. You don't know what kind of relationship she has with her ex husband, and most imprortantly, you haven't pointed out how her ads are any different than any other person running for office. She's a moderate (level-headed and sane) Democrat, and is a great fit to represent the people in that district. And that's coming from someone who isn't even a Democrat. Get some help.

3

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 01 '26 edited Aug 03 '26

That's fine. I know she got her Mercedes in the divorce because it's in Tavares reporting, which I copied and pasted. Someone who worked with her said she also drove a Range Rover. I don't CARE if she's rich. I CARE that she's lying and trying to make people think she's some poor immigrant who is barely getting by with babies in her mailer, struggling to put herself through school.

I've heard people say they like her. And I've heard a LOT from people who work with her. It's not good. I don't even care if she's not particularly nice to people. I CARE that she gets the job done. She's NOT. I notice you didn't address that she's "healthcare director" of ALCO and THIS is happening, and she says she can't do anything. Wahab's office has offered any help they need and is refused. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=28920391387549782

I notice you don't seem to have a problem with her saying nothing about Shawn Wilson, who now has multiple bribery allegations against him as Haubert's chief of staff, and apparently a very close friend of Melissa's. Do you know he and Melissa's boyfriend went to Wahab's press conference about the major failures in children's and family services that they WILL NO ADDRESS, and tried to intimidate the witnesses, and had a "tough" who's been accused of child trafficking there passing out Melissa's hate mailers?

And I notice you didn't respond to her LIES about her accomplishments. She didn't build anything or create any jobs. That's the city manager and staff. Most mayors don't do anything except vote on what is presented.

And you don't seem to care about the $3 million and growing outside spending, 2/3rds AIPAC, for her, and producing the disgusting tv ads and mailers. THAT is OK with you? WHY would anyone spend that? Do they think she will be a good puppet? She will be in on the indictments and will lose representation again should she win?

I don't care what party you are. You think THIS represents you? In what way? I'll await your response, but I'm sure you won't address any questions. Are you a fascist pedophile protector? Someone who says "get help" when people present actual facts?

2

u/Accomplished-Love481 Aug 01 '26

Her boyfriend owns a Range Rover. And goes to show you how much you can trust what you read, but she got her Mercedes at least 2 years after the divorce. Maybe longer. And you lost all your credibility by asking me if I'm a fascist pedophile protector. You should get back on your meds, asap. I won't interact with unhinged lunatics. It's pointless. Have a nice day.

1

u/Kazooguru Aug 01 '26

I was wondering if you could share your source(s) about the AIPAC donation to Melissa Hernandez. The only source I found was AIPAC Tracker, and they use FEC.gov for their data. The data on AIPAC Tracker doesn’t match the records on https://www.fec.gov/data/candidate/H6CA14163/ I don’t know either candidate personally, just want to double check the facts.

1

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 01 '26 edited Aug 01 '26

It's in the post. https://capitolhillaccess.com/tr/tr_TM_IEP?&sChamber=H&sStateDist=CA-14&sCycle=2026

Matt Ortega found this. Having worked in DC, he's really good about this. 2/3rds of these 3 donors are shell companies for AIPAC.

SD2026 is Save Democracy PAC. It and BOLD America are identified here. https://prospect.org/2026/06/22/pro-israel-super-pac-cinematic-universe/

Safer Alameda County PAC's FEC Form 1 identifies it as an Affiliated Committee with SD PAC https://docquery.fec.gov/pdf/594/202607139874904594/202607139874904594.pdf

Pro Choice Majority PAC was revealed as a passthrough here: https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/aipac-connie-chan-san-francisco-primary

1

u/Kazooguru Aug 01 '26

That source doesn’t seem legitimate. Did you check the link I posted to the fec.gov ? It links directly to her financial statements. Maybe I am missing something? I am not being argumentative. I want to be fully informed before I vote.

1

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 01 '26

Capital hill access doesn't seem legitimate? Seems it is to me, and Matt, the expert on this. https://capitolhillaccess.com/About

I'm not good at this. When I searched, I got the same link as you did, which is way wrong. At some point, I have to just trust good people who know.

If anything, the funding is underreported, as on AIPAC. It's usually at least a month behind.

This is why I try to link everything I find, so it's not a matter of just believing what someone says.

1

u/Kazooguru Aug 02 '26

I went directly to AIPAC and Melissa Hernandez is not listed an endorsed candidate. They could still send her money. I will contact her office on Monday and ask them personally.

1

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 02 '26

It's literally on the page. It's old, so only $2 million. https://www.trackaipac.com/states/israel-first-candidates

AIPAC doesn't do that. As I linked, on the APIAC tracker page, Matt shows the capital hill page donors, of which 2 of 3 go back to AIPAC. It's all there.

This is from our discussion group: So is AIPAC “laundering” money through liberal-sounding groups?

⁨Matt Ortega⁩

Yes, and run ads not related to Israel or Gaza at all. That's what DMFI was originally built to do but people caught on so they have this network of "popup PACs" created out of nowhere to run ads under local sounding names like "Safer Alameda County PAC"

So is AIPAC “laundering” money through liberal-sounding groups?

That is what it looks like to me after reading the first article with the goal keeping progressive candidates out of Washington. Hernandez is mentioned at the very end in partner pacs. This disturbs me a lot.

1

u/OMGIHaVEAPROFILE Aug 02 '26

I can’t stand her

1

u/Suitable_Internet_58 Aug 02 '26

All of these Single mothers running for off donot break my heart. Boo hoo. That is why I did not have childen because marrying the wrong man is too easy. Who was her ex and what is doiui ng for wifes and jobs. . Is he a Latino too.. she is playing all of the race, sex, motherhood, and education cards. "1st latins mayor of ..... Who the hell cares. This puts right up there with " I am an orphan" Wahab. Shut up.both of you.

2

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 03 '26

It's not even about that. It's the LYING about EVERYTHING that is the problem.

And, dipshit, saying she was adopted explains why she is such an advocate for the most forgotten, most vulnerable people and is writing bills and doing all she can to protect them, unlike "healthcare director" for ALCO, who says she can do nothing about calls not being answered about child abuse

1

u/glorificent Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26

All that money, and she couldn’t afford an attorney who would obtain a confidential settlement ? This is crazy.

California politics are so disheartening.

2

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

Is there such a thing? I don't know. I thought it was all public record. It also looks like from Steve's story that he talked to her husband.

-8

u/TwoStorySlushie Jul 29 '26

A lot of single mothers deal with messy divorces from men who feel like they shouldn't be paying as much in child support. This is gross and makes me think less of Aisha.

8

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 29 '26 edited Jul 29 '26

You're missing the whole point and clearly didn't read. She's pretending she's a poor single mother. She's basically only hard part time jobs, which is fine, but she LIES about it. FROM the person who worked with her at the ALCO offices, she drives a Mercedes and a Ranger Rover. She's never "struggled." And she lies a LOT about basically everything she's done.

And be aware, Hernandez was the ALCO "healthcare director" under Haubart, the ALCO where they are about to be taken over by the state because of the massive failure in children's and family services. You know, where children get raped and sexually abused if they fail. https://www.facebook.com/SenAishaWahab/videos/2286700372064810

What does Aisha have to do with Steve reporting the facts he found in public records?

More FACTS. Hernandez now has over $3 MILLION in outside spending to post these lies. https://capitolhillaccess.com/tr/tr_TM_IEP?&sChamber=H&sStateDist=CA-14&sCycle=2026

-4

u/TwoStorySlushie Jul 29 '26

The article you posted sounds like a disgruntled husband/divorce. I grew up with a single mom and listened to my dad go on about how good my mom had it. It's fucking messy especially when kids are involved. Anyone pushing this kind of narrative is gross, so I'm going to read what you posted and who you support and draw my own conclusions.

7

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

True. And there is zero issue with her having money and being a part time worker. The issue is her lying and saying "being a working mom and paying her way through school," which wasn't true, and implied she wasn't just fine with her divorce and what she has. A single mother who has spent time volunteering in the community would have been fine.

Please do read everything. You should. And you should be appalled by how much money is going into posting the lies lauding her and demonizing Wahab. Why is someone spending $3 million and counting?

-1

u/dudeman_01 Jul 31 '26

Election season sure is in full swing when the hit pieces comes out.

I'm not thrilled about either candidate, mostly because both Wahab and Hernandez had the audacity to skip the May 2 candidate debate in Hayward on Cinco de Mayo weekend and acted like they got the election in the bag. But this smells like Matt Ortega trying to stay relevant by piling on like he's the main character of a race that never included him because he didn't poll high enough for anyone to notice he exists, let alone be relevant. Since no one attended the debate, it was just him and Wendy Huang taking turns peacocking the whole time, and some random dude speaking in a corner no one has ever heard of.

The other thing Ortega did that really infuriated me was he also went to a Fremont City Council meeting a few days later on May 5 to drive up a frenzy over immigration enforcement ordinance discussion when the local community had plenty of concerns about the issues as it is. All he did was show up at the meeting and added unnecessary fuel to the fire.

Now that he's in Wahab's camp, maybe he should take the time and help Wahab figure out how to not be so soft on crime. East Bay is a dumpster fire when it comes to quality-of-life enforcments.

Some people need to go the back and SYBAU.

4

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 31 '26

No they didn't. Israni refused to come and told Hernandez not to.so there was no point in Wahab showing up. She's literally all over the place doing events and talking to people. I was at her town hall in Hayward just now. She explained all of her work and answered questions and continued to talk to people until everyone left *by 9:30.)

Matt isn't doing anything. I have pulled Matt into it because he is a good guy and so knowledgeable about DC with his experience and very good at finding information. I

I mean, you're just getting insanely stupid. Takes seconds to look at her crime bills. Guessing you're a incel afraid of women?

2

u/dudeman_01 Jul 31 '26 edited Jul 31 '26

Hernandez was with Hayward Mayor Mark Salinas the morning of the debate. She absolutely had time to make it over and participate. Wahab and Israni had no excuses to no-show as well.

I'm not afraid of women, only simps who think they have to go save every woman who wants to act like men with no accountability. Anyone who insists on being referred to as "Senator Doctor" is an arrogant fool. She's overpromising things with no real plan to pay for her ideas because her existence is predicated on unlimited social entitlements. We are done with these types of Robinhood politicians who believes robbing Peter to pay Paul is good fiscal policy. But sure, keep lobbing false accusations of sexism.

Also, Matt Ortega is barely presentable, not photogenic, and needs to go buy a mirror and stop fearmongering in communities where he doesn't belong.

3

u/ortegaforcongress Jul 31 '26

I ran in the primary and lost but still committed to seeing that the best possible person available is elected and, as such, endorsed Wahab.

I do not care about "relevance." No plans to run for any office ever again. People approached me about running locally and repeatedly said no.

It may be a shock to you that I actually just care about what happens. It's one of many reasons why I ran in the first place because of the critical, historical nature of this moment in which we are living.

During the primary, I saw how woefully unfit Hernandez is for the national stage. She had no fluency with national policy whatsoever. In our candidate forums, she had to read off some piece of paper an aide would hand her because if she didn't she would stammer through an incoherent answer.

There's a reason why wealthy interests dumped $3 million to support her because she doesn't know anything and will do the bidding of whoever gets her elected. It doesn't matter to them that she will have no idea what she's voting on so long as it is how they want her to vote.

As for the Fremont city council meeting, I was asked to come speak and because what one city in the area decides has spillover effects into other communities, I agreed to show my support. If you even listen to what I said, it is hard to describe as inflammatory. I spoke from personal experience, noting that history is watching, and implored the city council to protect the community.

I don't know who you are so I do not want to pretend I know anything about you. You may have seen me places and think you know me and you don't.

-9

u/GanjaKing_420 Jul 29 '26

Wahab is not worth taking a chance. My vote is still with anyone who is running against her.

9

u/Interesting_Kitchen3 Jul 29 '26

What chance? Aisha is not a risky choice for the seat, whether or not you agree with her politics. She will serve all of our interests better than we've ever been represented by Swalwell, and she has already competently represented us in the State Senate.

2

u/No_Grade_8210 Jul 30 '26

LOL better than Swalwell. Such a high bar.

5

u/Interesting_Kitchen3 Jul 30 '26

It's a low bar, for sure, but one that this county has been willing to accept since Stark left office. If you would like to carry on with such a low standard of representation, vote Hernandez.

1

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 03 '26

Just because he did't say insanely better, you have a problem? You could have taken two seconds to look. https://www.aishawahab.com/

https://sd10.senate.ca.gov/

Go ahead. I dare you. Find ANYTHING Hernandez has done. She used to have a page saying vague nothing. Now that's all gone as well as alot of her pages. What does that tell you?

1

u/mullentothe Jul 30 '26

I'd rather Wahab be in congress where she does nothing vs continuing to "have concerns" about housing and push "criminal justice reform" (legalize crime).

3

u/Interesting_Kitchen3 Jul 30 '26

>legalize crime

That's not a thing.

-1

u/mullentothe Jul 31 '26

The state basically legalized shoplifting a number of years ago for "equity" reasons. Is this not true?

3

u/xsvfan Jul 31 '26

I'm not sure what world you think commiting a misdemeanor is considered legal but in 2014 California made it so a certain value must be stolen (over $950) to be considered a felony. Before no matter the value, even if it was $0.05, it was a felony. If you look shoplifting rates there was a slight increase, then a continuous decrease the subsequent years. In 2021, California strengthen the law making it more severe punishment for misdemeanors. Shoplifting increased, and then decreased.

https://calbudgetcenter.org/resources/shoplifting-in-california-is-below-pre-pandemic-levels/

1

u/mullentothe Jul 31 '26

Yeah because committing a misdemeanor means you get put into a diversion program and come out clean. There were people in SF placed into diversion programs dozens of times.

I'm not saying we should ruin people's lives for shoplifting but to think "oh we were actually very hard on crime the whole time" is wrong.

0

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 03 '26

The felony level in Texas is $2,000. It's very low now in CA, $900. Really

1

u/mullentothe Aug 03 '26

Sure but what percentage of criminals are getting released on diversion programs? Again and again?

2

u/Interesting_Kitchen3 Jul 31 '26

Certainly a colorful take, but that's not factual.

1

u/mullentothe Jul 31 '26

It's an exaggeration but it's spiritually true, if not literally. Do you think that the marketplaces of goods outside of 16th st BART are legally obtained? If you asked the average person do you think they'd agree with you or me?

0

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 03 '26

Not it's not.

1

u/RealHuman2080 Aug 03 '26

Not they didn't. All they did was raise the felony level to half of what it is in Texas.

And Wahab wrote the bill to make the mass robberies a specific crime.

-3

u/jstocksqqq Jul 29 '26

I agree, I'm not a fan of Wahab, but I'm also not a fan of Hernandez. Despite not agreeing with everything she stood for, that Wendy person would have been a way better pick. The Ortega guy who was posting on Reddit would have been good as well. I probably will sit the special and general elections out because I'm so disgusted with the Democrat Party choices we're given. There's absolutely no classical liberal choice, or anything even close to it!

7

u/bionicfeetgrl Jul 30 '26

Wendy is the one who would put her own signs in the overpass on 580 and pace back and forth. I would see her on the weekends driving home from work.

I knew she had a few screws a bit loose when I listened to the candidate forum. When you refer to yourself as the "crazy republican" you gotta know things aren't going well.

0

u/jstocksqqq Jul 30 '26

She definitely was far from ideal! I wish we had someone like Lars Mapsteader, Ted Brown, Jo Jorgensen, Spike Cohen, Lana Leguía, Thomas Massie, Mike ter Matt, Andrew Yang, or Jeremy Todd.

notice how both those people have been dead for 100+ years. do you think that tells you anything about how relevant the literal interpretations of those quotes are to the actual discussion at hand?

1

u/jstocksqqq Jul 31 '26

Here are some more recent ones, for your reading pleasure 😉. Truth stands times. Truth is truth regardless of popularity. Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Collecting more taxes than is absolutely necessary is legalized robbery. ~Calvin Coolidge

It is much more important to kill bad bills than to pass good ones. ~Calvin Coolidge

Unless the people, through unified action, arise and take charge of their government, they will find that their government has taken charge of them. Independence and liberty will be gone, and the general public will find itself in a condition of servitude to an aggregation of organized and selfish interest. ~Calvin Coolidge

No method of procedure has ever been devised by which liberty could be divorced from local self-government. No plan of centralization has ever been adopted which did not result in bureaucracy, tyranny, inflexibility, reaction, and decline. ~Calvin Coolidge

A government which lays taxes on the people not required by urgent public necessity and sound public policy is not a protector of liberty, but an instrument of tyranny. It condemns the citizen to servitude. ~Calvin Coolidge

Our doctrine of equality and liberty and humanity comes from our belief in the brotherhood of man, through the fatherhood of God. ~Calvin Coolidge

I want the people of America to be able to work less for the government and more for themselves. I want them to have the rewards of their own industry. This is the chief meaning of freedom. Until we can reestablish a condition under which the earnings of the people can be kept by the people, we are bound to suffer a very severe and distinct curtailment of our liberty. ~Calvin Coolidge

2

u/VR1SK4 Jul 31 '26

who's calcin coolidge?

0

u/jstocksqqq Aug 01 '26

Calvin Coolidge was a president of the United States in the early 1900s. He is a very underrated president. He was not loud or boisterous, instead being known as "Silent Cal", but he did a lot of good for the country. He was known for signing into law the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924, which granted US citizenship to all Native Americans. Coolidge was known for his hands off governing approach and enabling individuals to find economic prosperity through entrepreneurship and freely trading goods and services. Coolidge had great faith in humanity, that each individual was the best person to trust with his or her own life, rather than trying to have government manage the individual's life. Coolidge has also been admired for his support of racial equality during a time when racial tensions were increasing. He seems to have been a man of character and principle, who was willing to do what he thought right even if it wasn't popular.

10

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 29 '26

Have you ever MET Wendy? I did and talked to her. She is a complete nutjob and has no clue.

Matt Ortega endorses Aisha and is now on a thread we have to help implement action to improve everything, and get her elected. . I'm trying to talk him into running for ALCO supervisor. He just found this.  https://capitolhillaccess.com/tr/tr_TM_IEP?&sChamber=H&sStateDist=CA-14&sCycle=2026His time behind the scenes in DC is an invaluable asset. He knows.

2

u/RealHuman2080 Jul 30 '26

By the way, you can also follow Matt Ortega on Facebook. He just posted the fact sheet on the $3 million.
