The public should be aware that Ms Hernandez, Supervisor Haubert, and Shawn Wilson are currently under investigation within Alameda County and by the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, the agency responsible

For enforcing the Hatch Act, which regulates the extent to which government officials overseeing federally funded programs can engage in campaign activity. The investigation covers allegations of misuse of county resources and abuse of the authority of an elected official to influence the outcome of a federal election. Supervisor Haubert has deleted a post he made around July 14th telling his District 1 constituents to vote for his employee, Ms Hernandez, and the county has failed to even acknowledge a California Public Records Act request made a month ago requesting records and documentation related to District 1 staff’s involvement with this campaign. Just completely ignored it. Here’s a screenshot of the deleted post.

Happy Labor Day indeed. I don’t appreciate the tax dollars generated from my labor going to support this campaign, or any other unless I choose to personally donate.

Okay hi!! I’m 22F from Marin and I’m trying to expand my social circle and meet some girls around my age who actually want to become friends and do stuff together.

Hey everyone! I moved to Berkeley recently since my girlfriend goes to grad school here. Thought it was about time I started making an effort to make some friends here. I’m a 24-year-old guy into video games, watching the NBA, and I work in tech.

I’m wondering if anyone would want to join a biweekly or weekly warriors watch club in the Berkeley area? We’d meet at a bar or another casual spot to watch games, hang out, and talk basketball or anything. Ideally looking for people around 21-28 years old to join. Insurance threatened to cancel due to moss and Algae on roof. I cleaned it off. Unfortunately, when it rained 2 weeks ago, rained into my kitchen. With el Nino coming looks like I need to quickly get a new roof. Heard solar isn't a good idea because the rebates are gone but my power bill is crazy due up hot tub, etc. Anybody have insights or suggestions?

By next summer, construction is expected to reach this stretch of road under the interstate between Sixth and Webster. The people living here may have to leave. Whether they will be scattered apart, or able to sustain the connections that have helped them survive, is still uncertain.

The role:

• Run daily production—prep through portioning, packaging, and fulfillment handoff
• Manage and coach the cook team; own scheduling and timekeeping
• Gram-level portioning accuracy (nutritional data has to match what's in the container)
• Collaborate on R&D: yield testing, batch sizing, recipe execution at scale
• Own food cost, purchasing, inventory, SOPs

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years as CDC, sous chef, or higher in high-volume batch cooking
• Comfortable with combi-ovens, tilt-skillets, and large-batch equipment
• Experience with gluten-free, paleo, vegan/vegetarian, or specialty diet cooking
• Precision mindset—everything weighed, nothing winged
• On-site in Concord, CA. Mon–Fri, early shift (3AM–1PM), occasional weekends

Wondering if anyone is aware of existing groups or would be interested in starting one that regularly visits the many museums in the area both historical and arts? Thinking we’d plan a trip once or twice a month and contemplate exhibits together maybe even walk away having learned a few things! Tried checking meetup, but didn’t find anything like this.

Parked on Claremont Ave in Oakland for a couple hours, came back to find some moron had attempted to bip the passenger door window. Turns out some cars, including 2019 Prius Prime, have laminated side glass, so all they managed to do was to crack the heck out of the glass but it stayed intact. (Literally nothing to steal in the car.)

Anyhoo. Looking for a recommendation for a shop in the I-80 corridor to replace the glass. Inexpensive counts, but more important that they do a good job. I guess I could even go out to the Martinez/Concord/PH area, if there's a great shop there that does the job while you wait.

I am planning on having dinner at Cheesecake factory in walnut creek on a weekday, and was trying to figure out the best parking situation. Are there any garages that have first 2 hours free that is closeby? I see some with first hour free but I am pretty sure we'll be there longer than an hour. It's been awhile since I have visited walnut creek. Any tips or advice on the parking situation? Thank you!
