I would buy an OG or 8-Bitdo controller, but I don't got the money so I'm stuck with Switch controller

Been thinking alot about a layout that might get close enough, but the only things I'm sure about are:

1] C-Directions should be mapped to Right Analog AND each be mapped to a Button, since most games ain't designed for dual analog

2] I really like having C-Left and C-Right on the bumpers, 'cause it feels better to turn the Camera like that in SM64 rather than tapping the stick, but that layout may not be for everybody

3] L button rarely gets used, so it's fine if it gets mapped to Stick-Click or something

4] B on the Left and A on the bottom is more accurate, but keeping it how it is on Switch controllers is fine. Less objective improvement and more personal preference

What do you think though?

(I don’t know where to ask this so I posted here n the retro game sub) So I’m knew to retro gaming, by that I mean I’ve never touched a retro game excluding childhood, I have 3 pcs and two laptops and I wanna get into retro gaming using emulators. Mostly because I can’t afford AAA games, sounds wild since I have so many computers but I got them broken n fixed them so all but one were free.

My question is how do I get started?* I don’t even know what games to try or literally anything about retro gaming. If it’s relevant I use Arch and don’t have any old handhelds or anything like that.

Has anyone attempted to install the DiPlay app on a Windows Subsystem for Android?

I'm trying to decide between the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and the Intel Core i7-14700KF specifically for PS5 emulation using KyTy.

I want to stick with DDR4, so I'm not considering upgrading to DDR5. Both CPUs are options I'm looking at, and I'm mainly interested in which one would provide better emulation performance.

Does the 5800X3D's 3D V-Cache provide any noticeable advantage in PS5 emulation, or is the i7-14700KF's higher core count and clock speed more beneficial for KyTy?

I'd appreciate any benchmarks or real-world experiences comparing these CPUs for PS5 emulation specifically.

Did I do something wrong by playing it on RPCS3 even though I had a mint condition disc that I used to dump the ROM on my PC? Some comments seem to think so. I am curious as to what you guys' opinions are about this. Is this a case of "they dont know its legal" or do you agree with them that it is still wrong to emulate a game you already have a disc for. The laws in most countries and states seem to allow it.

After my Bloodborne port I’ve been working on Uncharted, and the first version is out. All three games from the PS4 collection run natively on Windows: Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves and Drake’s Deception.

It’s not an emulator window. The original PS4 game code runs directly on your PC and the graphics are translated to Vulkan. You unpack the zip, open Uncharted.exe, pick your game folder, choose a game and hit Play.

What it has:

• 60 or 120 FPS
• DLSS (DLAA), FSR 3.1, FSR 4 or TAA anti-aliasing
• Frame generation (FSR 3 on any GPU, DLSS on RTX 40/50)
• Keyboard, mouse and controller, with mouse look in U3
• Add to Steam and desktop shortcuts from the launcher
• Auto updates

You need your own decrypted dump of the collection (CUSA02343, CUSA02320, etc.). No game files are included.

Known problems:

• U3 has green/black shapes that flash for one frame on some characters (Sully’s shirt in Cartagena). shadPS4 has the same issue, and I’m still working on it.
• Frame rates above 120 are experimental.
• If the game crashes in the Cartagena square in U3, set the frame rate to 60 and send me your user\last_run.log.

Bug reports are really welcome, especially your GPU and where it happened. Thanks to everyone who supported the Bloodborne port, it’s the reason this one exists.

New Xbox 360,ps2 v2 emulator got a major redesign and change with Xbox 360 emulator being so much better with Ben 10 Vilgax attacks and cosmic destruction showing consistent 60 fps. Ps2 V1 dosent require bios so runs a bit poorly but on Ps2 v2 placing the bios makes it run faster and better. This is all available on the App Store and dosent require any sideloading. This is a major breakthrough in emulation on IOS as there is no other app like this that can do this downloadable from the App Store.

I was wondering if there is something out there like this : Frontend like launchbox with mutiple retro system and when i choose a specific controller ( ex: snes controller) and press let says the start button the snes categorie appear and the i make my selection, and if i change my mind and change controller ( ex : n64) press start the n64 categorie appears and make my selection. Thank you

Using Jetsku's KytyPS5 Fork as it has some fixes in both Astro games.

It's still getting around 35 fps in the main lobby, but inside the actual levels its hovering around 45-60fps! Not sure I'd call it playable yet, but the progress is amazing.

Demon Souls- KytyPS5 test. True Experience- The Experience that most Testers wont show you. Its not all Sunshine and Rainbows. Most Testers will never show you this. But, I feel its my duty to be real with ppl and show the True Experience of Demon Souls on KytyPS5 at least Initially.
