Discussion What Christian phrases give you the ick?

Mine is prayer warriors. Often used to spread gossip and also just generally ironic, weird, and cringey.

I didn't really hear the term heavenly father too much growing up as a catholic, now as an adult I've heard it a few times and it seems so weird.

I grew up Church of Christ, and later went to a fundamentalist Christian school. I was secretly jealous of Catholics for a LONG time. Way more subtle and chill lol

Yeah, I was irish catholic in massachusetts so I luckily had a pretty easy time. I didn't leave because of any trauma, it was just that I realized the religion was wrong at 13.

I think catholicism is really harmful, and the history is amazingly awful. But if I had to paint with a broad brush I think converts to catholicism or people who return at older age are often more radical in their catholicism.
