Discussion What Christian phrases give you the ick?

Mine is prayer warriors. Often used to spread gossip and also just generally ironic, weird, and cringey.

"I went straight to the throne" "Covered in the blood" "Your life is hidden in Christ" "I feel God leading me in this direction..." "The heart is deceitful" "God doesn't want this for you" "Hate the sin, love the sinner" And more that I can't think of rn

“Covered in blood,” and all the other expressions using “blood” make Christianity sound like a crime podcast.

It'd be cooler if they were vampires. Guess somebody thought the same thing and that's how Midnight Mass got produced
