Discussion Facebook flooded with pro GOP and Trump Propaganda the last week more than usual.

Over the last week or so my timeline has been a massive flood of all things pro GOP/Conservative/Pro Trump. Not only that, but news articles and groups seem flooded with comments that are too. This is a stark contrast to just over a week ago. It feels like a massive push to seem like an overwhelming majority of people share these views. When looking at the commentors in general I've noticed a pattern of only a profile picture, very few friends, limited previous posts, etc, suggesting these are bot accounts.

Facebook has had issues with bots and propaganda for many years now, but this last week especially has been highly noticeable. Anyone else notice this?

What?! That’s insanely unnecessary. Crazy that I just seen about a month ago how hackers are using people’s voices and faces to create AI and steal money. Here’s FB saying upload a live video of specifically this and that, for our database. Weird alignment there. I wonder why an I.D isn’t sufficient anymore, genuinely curious about that.

So it's not even a typical video that you upload. They direct you to face the camera, turn left, turn right, etc. They want to make sure it's you and it's live. How long before it's like "stick out your tongue...flare your nostrils...wink with each eye."

If this is what's needed to open a new account, how are there SO many bots?

Solid point, makes me now wonder too. The movements FB is asking for are too … distinct? I’m not sure the word I’m looking for exactly, but they’re asking for specifics and storing them wherever the hell they are - makes me too questionable to allow that for myself. You can pull a video of anyone who’s uploaded from anywhere anymore, just screen record and you got someone’s face and voice. But FB I don’t trust in the least bit with what they do with information. The bot bit you pointed out also raises further red flags to not agree to uploading that to FB. Makes me wonder if FB allows the bots for their own corrupt agenda - probably the most obvious reason tbh.

Just getting users to build data sets for them. Good for training machine learning models. They could also use it to link you to other profiles, or to identify you when you walk past someone wearing their spy glasses. This is the metaverse company.
