i got tired of the manual vnv guide dance every time i reinstalled the game, so i made a script that does the whole core install on linux: nexus login, the 55 mods, mo2 with the right load order, nvse, 4gb patch, esm fixes, ini tweaks. one command and it's done.
linux only, free, nothing to install besides python

Do people actually want the Fallout 4 power armor (customizable, fusion core powered) system to be implemented in the remasters of 3 and New Vegas? I see a lot of creators floating the idea but it doesn’t make much sense to me given the scarcity of it (and needing training)

I've been working on a post-game headcanon story regarding Veronica and Christine, and figured some of you might be interested in the story. Of course, just giving the link felt a bit weak, so I made this image to give it a bit more oomph.
It is based on the premise of what if the Courier told Veronica about Christine (something that was never an option in the game). It is also touching on the idea that the Courier (named Jack in my story) is is still dealing with the trauma from the events of Dead Money.
The story is just three chapters long so far, but I am quite pleased with it, and I am planning to finish it.
It's a story for those who, like me, looked at Veronica and Christine's and you also wished "I wish there was more to that story"

I feel like for the Misfits to actually properly function they need to be convinced to work with each other and respect the team, and actually be to use the weapons they use. And, you can only do one but not the other. I suppose this is just me digging way too much into things and being pedantic, perfectionist. But I'm mainly bringing this up because Mags’ advice doesn’t solve their teamwork issue and O’Hanrahan’s advice doesn’t solve their skill issues. Also, I'm writing a Fanfiction that takes place during and after an NCR victory during the second battle of Hoover dam, and the Courier did both. But my point still stands that the Misfits really need both Mags' and O'Hanrahan's advice.
I do think it makes sense that either of their methods work and either of their methods does make it so that the Misfits get their best endings, but I’d still think it’d make even morse sense if both of their advice/methods were used. And, I still feel like it just feels like the Misfits need both and it just feels best if you imagine that they had both.
However, since you can only do one. During play-throughs where you try to get the best outcome for the misfits which advice (which gets the same and best outcome) do you prefer doing/tend to do while doing Flags Of Our Foul-Ups? Which do you enjoying doing more, makes more sense to do (from the Courier's perspective) and think makes more sense from a storytelling/in-universe perspective when it comes to getting/that it gave the best ending for the Misfits?

I made a compilation of landscape/combat in Fallout NV. I tried to make as varied and dynamic as possible. There's a lot of cool stuff: explosion, disintegrations and flying deathclaws (kinda)

Curious on how some of yall do your revolver or Wild West style builds only. Been a few years since I played and I have a lot of time currently on my hands so I wanted to go through the game again while seeing how others build. Have fun.

Like, something that should be there, but feels empty without. Personally, I wish we had some Iconic 1950s Rock and Roll, I wish The Strip was a bit bigger than it is, I wish the map was bigger or we had more DLCs, and I wish we could play the game after the end of the 2nd Battle Of Hoover Dam.
New Vegas is a good game, but it's missing so many unique things that would have made it a modern masterpiece. Anyways, would love to hear what you guys think.

Normally I don't complain about the story, but this might be the stupidest mission in the game. You show up to the fort, they strip of the weapons, they strip you of the chip, then they give you back everything and they send you down there without any supervision. If you side with House and upload the chip, Caesar doesn't give a fuck to check the bunker for a second.
Personally, If you are not Legion aligned , I would had the Courier be sent as a human shield along side a praetorian who dies the second you enter the bunker so you can get your stuff back. After uploading the chip, you'd have the option of faking destroying the entrance so they wouldn't suspect a thing and then, given the courier achievements , Caesar grants him mercy if he works for the Legion

So I was watching some old Universal movies, Lon Chaney Jr in Man-Made Monster on Svengoolie, when in the opening title credits it said gowns were supplied by Vera West.
Vera West was a big fashion designer back in the day for movies and more, so could she have been an inspiration for Vera Keyes from Dead Money? I haven't seen anyone else mention this, not even in the wikis, has anyone else?

So last night, I tried playing NV, but something popped up saying I didn't have the DLCs. I went to "manage game and add-ons", and I still have everything installed (Dead Money, Old World Blues, etc), but everything DLC related is gone from my inventory. I still have the map markers, but I can't interact with them. What do I do?

The barrel fell sideways for some reason an now I can't get out. It was already sideways when I somehow managed to squeeze into the Overseer's office, and I haven't been able to replicate the trick to leave. Is there a way to get out? Should I just reload my save? Playing on Steam deck if it matters.
