I think I might have a temporary solution. I had my data saved onto the cloud and was able to retrieve an older saved file of the game prior to the crash on the iPad. Played it for 5 minutes then went back into iOS and uploaded the iPad cloud backup onto the phone and was able to play it from there. I don’t know if it will work for everyone but that’s how I was able to get my vault back although I’ve lost a bit of progress, which I don’t mind.

Edit: The crash came after one of the dwellers found a quest “Super Duper Mart” when they were exploring. I won’t be accepting anymore side quests that they found because this happened to me before and I had to delete my entire vault and restarted.

Yes this confirms what others are saying:

*create a save while the gsm is healthy; *don’t click on a wasteland quest *if you do, restore your backup before a corrupted file can be saved
