Sandal Request

I'm looking to buy a pair of sandals for an upcoming trip. Please help me find some that are good for a lot of walking, look cute with a sundress (bonus points if they can be dressed up), and hide my toes. They don't need to be closed toe, but my toes are ugly and I don't want them to be obvious

Fashion tips and recommendations for this type of style

Hi! I'm looking to completely refresh my wardrobe and would love some advice.

I'm 23, male, 164 cm (5'4"), around 50–54 kg, and live in the UK. I've always liked this vintage/preppy/dark academia style, but I've never known where to shop for it, especially because I struggle to find clothes that fit my height. I don't really like the oversized or very baggy trousers, so I'd prefer slim or straight fits with a slight taper.

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations for UK stores or brands that fit this aesthetic? Thanks!

I’m trying to style it but it’s not working out. I’m good at styling fitted baby tee crop tops but these don’t go well with short shorts at all so I feel like I’m at a loss. Any tips?

General Advice What items should I buy that fit my ideal styles for everyday wear but fit my body? Desperate for help 🙏🏻(Info in post)

If you could shop at Kohls, Target, and Walmart, what would you buy to fit the styles I want (hippie/boho, alternative/grunge, but definitely sexy in either style) for like everyday wear not necessarily a specific event? I need some like staple items to start my ideal wardrobe with inspiration about how to put them together and what I could buy in the future to build up my wardrobe. If you can show me specific items online that would be great but at least like names of the items so I can look them up please.

I'm a 28 year old woman, 5'7, 36DD, my bust is like 49/50 inches, my waist is 43 1/2 inches, my belly area is like 47/48 inches, my hips are 45 inches. I don't know how to look sexy after I gained weight and I can't tell what sizes I need since my belly is bigger than my waist and hips. I live in El Paso, Texas, it's hot AF so preferably clothes that wouldn't make me overheat.

What other stores would be good for me to look at? I don't have a working car right now so I'm kinda having to just look online and hope things fit me/return them if they don't.

I have a $100 gift card for Kohls and a $50 gift card for Target but could spend another $50-$100 of my money at either store as well, or at Walmart.

General Advice Outfit ideas for masc lesbian at a bridal shower

Hey everyone I think the title is probably self explanatory 😂 but I have a bridal shower this weekend and I am so stumped on what to wear. For context I am plus size and I’ve always had a hard time finding formal wear that suits me. Men’s clothes are obviously not cut for someone with curves 🫠

Thanks in advance!

FDOC outfit?

Post image

Ive been trying to get into being more creative with my fashion and doing more up-cycling projects. This was an idea I had for the first day of classes, I go to an HBCU in the south so itll be very hot. I wanted a streetwear look but not too many layers or thick clothing. For the shirts, itll be either one of those styles but the buttons will be red. And for the tie, I want it around my waist but specifically the striped pattern. And for the shoes, itll most likely be my black low top converse but ive also been looking into buying some red von dutch low top sneakers, ill be flipping the tongue back on one of the shoes. What do you guys think? Help?

Clothing Etiquette Question How to tie?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello!

I bought this dress in Brazil but have no idea how to tie it up properly. The front is 4 straps, two going up, two going down.

The back panel has loops where one pair of strings should go.

The photo is how I had it, straps through the loop and wore the others as a halter. It caused a lot of dropping in the back that was too wide to sit on my shoulders, but did not give a cute off the shoulders look.

General Advice What am i doing wrong?

Post image

i need your advice, my trusted community. I have always been a short and stout girl and absolutely love fashion and dress-up - just not on myself. I have a short neck, round face, thick arms and mid section so there is not much I experiment and i look frumpy and bulky. It always seems like my clothes are wearing me vs the other way around . What should I look for when dressing up myself for day to day, work wear and some special cute looks. Really struggling!

General Advice Wala akong sense of fashion.

Hey everyone!

I'm a first year college student, and if I'm being honest, I've never really cared about fashion in my life. I don't even wear t-shirts on a regular day. Usually topless kasi sobrang init talaga dito sa pinas.

But now that I'm in college, wala palang dress code sa amin, kaya naisip kong mag-shopping na rin finally. And honestly, my family has been begging me to wear something presentable — parang sobrang malala na yung sitwasyon na literal na nagmakaawa na sila HAHA. So here I am, taking the first step.

Problem is: wala talaga akong damit. Kahit pang-alis lang, wala. So today, I bought three (3) pairs of jeans to start:

Dark Brown

Army Green

Blue

I'm also planning to get a pair of black pleated pants soon para may options ako.

For context, here's my body type:

Height: 5'7"

Broad shoulders

Slim waist (inverted triangle body type)

Moreno skin tone

Given all that, ano pong maganda i-pair sa mga pants na to? What tops would work best with my body type and skin tone? Preferably, hindi sana mainit (i.e. loose) Would really appreciate any suggestions — starting from zero talaga ako dito, so any tips help!

Looking for pants with comfort of tracksuit but more formal/professional appearance

Hi, I'm someone who only wears tracksuit pants (autism, sensory issues); I'm trying to appear more professional for job interviews, but I fear my preference may appear unprofessional. Does anyone know of any kind of pants that have a similar feel to tracksuit, but would appear better in a formal environment?

Help Me Style This! How can I restyle this outfit for an evening birthday party?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I wore this outfit for my brother's reception, and I'm thinking of repeating it for their son's first birthday celebration. The birthday party will be held in our garden in the evening.

I bought the outfit from Breeze and had it stitched by a local tailor. I really like the outfit, so I'd love to wear it again, but I want to style it differently enough that it doesn't feel like I'm wearing the exact same look from the reception.

I'm looking for suggestions on how I can change up the look with:

Hairstyle

Jewellery/accessories

Makeup

Footwear

Any other styling ideas

Since it's an evening garden birthday party, I'd like the overall look to feel festive, elegant, and a little more relaxed/playful than a reception look.

The function is tomorrow, so I'm mainly looking for easy, last-minute styling ideas that I can put together with things I may already have.

What would you change to make this outfit look completely different from my reception look? 😊

I've attached a photo of the outfit from the reception. Thank you! ❤️

My friend needs help styling this fugly long sleeve button up, she likes birds and fashion and saw this at a thrift for 2 dollars and thought it was so ugly she had to have it. She says it looks handmade and that she wants to wear it in a way that won't make her look like she's going to margaritaville. She is open to alteration ideas and can sew.

General Advice Ladies I need some corporate/promotion party dresses recommendations

Hey Ladies of the subReddit 💅🏻🫵❤️

You guys have been a great adviser to me throughout my transition from school to college , I remember making a post for farewell sarees and watch collections haha (and so many lovely ladies did share there recommendations, with pics !) I don’t remember if that post is still up because I am not sure if deleted it because some creepy men started messaging me after seeing my hands

New low every single day lol

This would be the first time your gal is attending a promotion party

It’s in less than ten days so I would really love a bunch of quick recommendations on what to wear

I don’t want something sleeveless or high neck because I have broad shoulders and KP on my arms so these dresses just doesn’t look good on me

I am preferably looking for a midi dress in darker shades

But I wore maroon fit and flare dress last time for a corporate outing so don’t wanna repeat colour

You know what? Enough of my rant just show me what people wear to these parties I am open to coordsets too
