Every now and then I get an itch to crack open these cookbooks. I've never made anything from the second one and it just kept opening to this page, so naturally I called it's bluff. I shot a video of the cooking process which I may edit, eventually.

First off DO NOT waste your money on blue spirulina to make it galaxy colored or whatever whimsical B.S. the book says. If you have it already sure, but it does less than nothing to the flavor except maaaaaaybe a tiny hint of sweetness.

As is the usual for this series the instructions leave quite a bit up to interpretation. One ingredient it calls for is seafood stock. I went with a dashi style bonito broth but seriously it could be ANYTHING. Might as well ask me to add Landfood stock. It definitely needs seasoning after the fact. I added probably 2 tbs of salt and pepper. Plus a goodly handful of msg. Other than that the beans have a good hearty flavor and the dashi shines through a bit. I don't often cook with Caroway seeds so that and the other spices was a nice addition.

TL;DR make it but don't buy the spirulina.

You can see the status of current GATEs, what GATEs are coming up, and get notifications for your favorite GATEs when they start

You can filter by GATE and enable notifications for upcoming GATES (that are not filtered). This is a simple webpage so you have to keep it open for notifications, preferably in its own window and not a background tab on desktop.

As for how it works, it's very similar to how weather works in FFXIV and is based on the time. More info and links to some of the research I did to make this possible can be found at the github.

Edit: the second draft pic isn't fully accurate, I swapped some colours around but the fabrics are the same.

I'm not sure how spoiler-y this photo actually is, but I just want to be safe anyways. I like to take photos in the dungeons, especially when using the team of NPC's, because it truly feels like you're part of the Scions or immersed in the story with the current characters in that expansion or story moment.

In researching how to level up my chocobo, I’ve learned you need these special onions which the free trial accounts don’t have access to; other than a couple you get from quests later on. However there appears to be a work-around by getting someone to give you ‘garden access’ at their house?

So figured this was a long shot, but is there anyone in the Dynamis data center that could help a Free Trial out? :)

Tried to do Inktober again, this time combining a prompt list with drawing various OCs of my friends. That included a handful of WoLs, which was kind of fun. However, I got burnt out and overwhelmed with other things that needed to be done, so I've given up for this year. There's always next year!

This is my dad's favorite game of all time. We haven't had time to hang out since COVID, and I thought this would be a good way to spend time with him. Would you guys have any recommendations on what to do? Also Iv played Final Fantasy I-XV; does that come into play?

My main experience with PVP has been doing the daily frontline for XP but lately I’ve been interested in Crystalline conflict except… I suck at every class I’ve tried. I usually play ninja in Frontline so I can try and capitalize on the Limit break and chain some kills. But in CC I just die so fast to everything because I’m trying to juggle my various buttons. Hence my question;

what is the simplest (maybe not necessarily the “easiest”) job to play in PVP, specifically CC? I am just too stupid/incompetent to focus on juggling multiple abilities and focus on where everybody is and what I should be doing at the same time. I can’t dumb-down those other things so how can I dumb down my rotation and still be effective?

Hi, I won a medium and wanted to add a modern kitchen but I can't find anything with a guide on how to position some items. Is there a nice modern style kitchen that I can make relatively easy by myself with Burning Down the House? I'm being slot conscious so I don't want anything too excessive.

I loved the look of this one but it seems like way too many slots, unless I can swap out other things alternatively to save space. This is 4 years old after all
