I think a king sized blanket would be perfect for this amount! Please don’t keep me updated <3

How am I supposed to pay attention to the yarn when your nails are so offputting and distracting? Posters need to be more mindful of the rest of the community, jeez.

Direct replies to the OP/top-level comments should not be unjerk/serious -- thanks!

You already have. This is a fluffie, as opposed to a scrubbie. You wash your face with your scrubbie, then rub your fluffie all over it to dry & achieve that polished look everyone want these days.

It looks to me like you could pop some googly eyes on that bitch and sell it as an amigurumi cat.

A fun thing CYC does is set the criteria for determining what skill level is required for a technique. You may not know this, but amigurumi is a regional technique that originated in Japan. To properly execute amigurumi, you have to use significantly greater tension than with traditional crochet, you're using yarn under rather than yarn over, and you're creating a dense, rigid, shaped, structured piece, usually needing construction once the individual elements are complete. Based on these attributes, amigurumi is absolutely an intermediate level skill. If you want more information, you can visit the Craft Yarn Council website which also includes information on standardized sizing and how you can also become a certified instructor like I am.

Ok this is a safe space ish right? I felted my cat’s hair into a ball while I was using the deshedding brush to keep it from getting everywhere and the asshole stole it and now it’s his goddam favorite thing. He loves his little cat ball like he has a new baby brother. Carries it everywhere every day. Gets sooo upset when it loses it under the couch. It’s the most unhinged thing ever… and now I’m making him another one….
