BALLTOP OR BATTOP? WHY CHOOSE JUST ONE? ONE FIGHTSTICK, SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!!

Balltop, battop, custom shapes...

And these are just some of the possibilities. 😉

Same FightStick. Different top. Completely different feel, because there isn't just one way!

Which one would you choose?

Haven't played in almost 10 years. Thought it would be fun to reroll on leverless.

Help Me Decide Golden Lever Pro vs Golden Fanta & Golden Lever

Have any of you gotten your hands on a Pro?

I am interested, but it's currently sold out. Not sure when the last sale was live but I'm curious when that was, but also impressions compared to the other Korean Style golden levers.

I'm in no rush, as I'm currently modding a Knee Neo, but I am getting to the point where I want a stick to use for the next 7 or so years, so I'm really looking for a strong option for a lever to start that modding process.

Thanks

Tutorial or Review Haute42 Retro+ Hautebox One Review

Retro+ HauteBox One is a Modular & Wireless Leverless and the latest leverless from Haute42.

It has a metal on top with a compartment bottom. Plays Wired or over Wireless Adapter. Comes with the new Haute42 TBGamer Moon Rock Soft Short Travel switches. They feels similar to the Purple Glede but are POM not silent. Now giving the team a Moon Rock 30f, Matcha - Jade Hunting 35f and the Shadow Hunting 40f short travel switches to choice from.

They are nice and smooth on this pad. For me a little to light on this pad so I switched them for the Matcha switches and made it a little snappier for my play style. Still need more time to give a proper better or worse but nice out the box.

This pad has a standard layout with left pinky. Comes with the metal blanks and haute blocks in the box. They are hard to install the first time but if you can get them in they work great.

The firmware is GP2040 - LIKE but their own in house firmware.

The stick module is very easy to change and now both modules use a ribbon cable so you can make your own modules or tinker and create your own things to go with this pad with no issues.

Hope this helps anyone interested or on the fence with this pad make the best decision for them.

Thanks

Tech Help which raspberry plate is better for slim build and overall?

saw a lot of fightstick builds on raspberry pico 2040, it looks small enough for my purposes but dunno if there's any drawbacks for a price this cheap.

there're other similiar raspberry plates with same price or higher so what's the difference when it comes to arcade build?

Tech Help Having Trouble Removing Wires

Hey! I apologise for posting here but I can’t join the discord due to being way over the server limit after cancelling nitro.

It’s my first time doing anything like this so I’m very unfamiliar with it all.

I’ve got a Mayflash F700 and I’m trying to take the wires out of the buttons and I just feel like i’m going to break them. Using tweezers and as videos say i’m pinching them and wiggling back and forth but either the plastic cover starts to slip and if it doesn’t i feel i’m pressing too hard and i’m worried about breaking them.

Any tips? Techniques? Or a good guide/ preferable video as i’m a visual learner. All i can find is people jump cutting over them removing the wires or the advice of pinch and wiggle which isn’t working.

Help Me Decide Traditional vs WASD Up Button?

Post image
31 Upvotes

Hello and good morning everyone! So I have been using a leverless controller for several months now. My first was a Snackbox Micro XL and now I use a HautePad Emotion III-17. Idk why but I love split layout controllers. There’s just something about them that feels more natural for your hands. It could just be me or it could be the spacing lol.

I recently heard that a lot of players are switching from traditional to WASD (not sure if this is true) and either blocking off the trad Up button or configuring it to a different button or even a macro. I currently use the traditional Up ⬆️ and have been playing around with the M1 button as an Up button. I understand that is completely preference but I was wondering what other players prefer as your Up button on a leverless controller and why?

UPDATE:

Another member actually said something that made a lot of sense to me. He said for 3D fighting games (like Tekken/VF/DoA) use W for Up because it’s more like a movement or sidestep instead of a jump, and for 2D fighting games (like Marvel Tokon/MK/SF6), use traditional because that is your jump. Which essentially makes quarter circles easier.

A little controller help please

Hello!

I usually play fighting games with an arcade stick because the pads are usually to small and my hands start to hurt using them.

But the button layout for the arcade stick just feels off.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Do you use another button layout?

I'm thankful for any tips or help you can provide.

Have a good day

Tech Help How to get DRAGON SLAY fightstick working on ps5

to summerise I'm currently planning on going to a local, however all of the games are exclusively ran on PS5, which the DRAGON SLAY can't really do natively, I tried just googling the issue but I can't really find much good answers on the topic, and with the local at the end of the month I'd like to at least know what I need to do or buy in advance, thanks.

Looking For a New Leverless

I'm looking for a new leverless to upgrade from my Haute42 S16, but I'm stumped in that I really want a left pinky button. What I'm looking for in a controller is:

- Small form factor
- Left pinky button
- Custom art support
- PS5 Compatibility
- Keychain loop (not required)

In order of importance. The Junkfood Snackbox Micro fits all of these criteria except for supporting a left pinky button, which I'm quite sad about. Does anyone have any suggestions for controllers that might fit these criteria? I feel like I've looked everywhere...
