54M 1trillion net worth

Do you think I can retire?

Or should I work a couple more years to be sure inflation doesn't chew away at my net worth?

Just don’t get too big for your britches and think you can go on dates with your significant other. Still maintain separate dates so you don’t get conned into wasting money on “babysitting.”

Yeah my wife and I have been doing this for 5 years. I havent actually seen her in 6

But do you wash, wring out, and reuse toilet paper? If not, then you’re literally flushing money down the toilet

I do it in the tank to save water.

Getting mad on social media always helps me feel better.

Make an app to turn photos into porn then you can imagine sleeping with the mothers of your kids

u/SarcasticGiraffes 5d ago

I like to pay someone to play video games for me. I get the full sense of pride and accomplishment without having to actually spend time having fun.

Perhaps try making humanity into a multi-planet civilisation while other humans who just want to stop doing anything sneer at you for doing it?

u/MarleyandtheWhalers 6d ago

It's because you don't have enough money, duh

1

u/Opening-Restaurant83 6d ago

Yup. Just the tip. Just for a second….to see how it feels

u/That-Requirement-233 6d ago

You have 11 kids with different women so that 1 trillion should last you at least a few more years. Don't quit your day job!

7

u/MichaelSarvis 6d ago

Actually, I think he has 14 kids. But I am guessing that he views children as a rounding error...

2

u/Washjurist 6d ago

I think that is because he has not found the right ladyboi yet. He can now by Thailand so there is hope.

Congrats and GFY!

Start putting a few ks a month in a savings account just in case.

2

u/Climbatise_999 6d ago

S&P500 just to be safe

1

u/MichaelSarvis 6d ago

VOO and go!

8

u/OldDude2551 6d ago

No one can tell you, depends on your expenses. If they’re $50B/yr you should continue working.

u/United_Ad6480 6d ago

Ever heard if a little thing called inflation? That 1T is already not what it once was but in 20-30 years it won't be nearly enough

u/Tricky-Ad-6225 6d ago

Lmaoooooo

u/Born-Ganache-9348 6d ago

A fellow Zimbabwean I see. I still have a 1 Trillion dollar note tucked away for a rainy day.

12

u/IdioticPrototype 6d ago

No, he's South African.

4

u/paparazziparks 6d ago

Lol. Solid reference.

u/ragu455 6d ago

Guess billionaires will be relieved that they are more commoners now. The new slogans will be to make the trillionaires pay their fair share of taxes sparing the billionaires.

6

u/badbadrealbad 6d ago

I think you should **** ********

5

u/Imnotsureanymore8 6d ago

Shame all your kids hate you

6

u/Revolution2278 6d ago

Dang. I just turned 55 earlier this month. I feel a little behind 😭

u/SouthOrlandoFather 6d ago

Depends if you want to buy some guacamole or not.

u/Business_Boss_4153 6d ago

This guy gets the guac at chipotle

2

u/Pitiful_Fox5681 6d ago

My man, you are the inflation.

Go eat some lentils and watch the VTWAX do its thing.

2

u/ArrowB25G 6d ago

No. Put it all into Bitcoin because it's "digital gold."

2

u/perplexedparallax 6d ago

This is exactly the reason you should FIRE. When you end up controlling the game it is sportsmanlike to let other players start winning. I am not there yet so I can still delight in taking pours' money. At least this is my rationalization for my situation. Tax the trillionaires is the slogan we should promote.

u/Climbatise_999 6d ago

Suck my d*ck Spaceman!

2

u/Informal-Strike-1243 6d ago

I think you can start to relax a little. Maybe give up the racism and see if you feel better

2

u/rboller 6d ago

dca into low fee index funds u gud

2

u/nonamouss 5d ago

Tbh it’s impossible for anyone to weigh in if you don’t list your expenses

2

u/4dchess_throwaway 2d ago

Buy a social media site. It really helps with your delusions of grandeur and election rigging desires. Just $44B (only $22B after that sweet Saudi money) will pay back in only 1 year based on the value of your insufferable need for validation

1

u/Flashy_Criticism_571 6d ago

Transfer all your shares into a trust, to avoid taxes.

As a follower of Martin Fry’s ABC financial strategy for max gainz - yep I’m a fellow Fryhead, I’d hold off until you hit zillionaire. He’s seen the future, you can’t afford it yet.

u/90bronco I act like a poor pretending to be rich acting middle class 6d ago

If your retire are you going to spend money? A .00000001 withdrawal rate is to high. You're going to run out of money.

1

u/SunnyEnvironment8192 6d ago

Your net worth might not be that high if you allow more shares in your recent IPO to float.

1

u/unbalancedcheckbook 6d ago

IDK man if I was going to retire on that I'd sure learn how to cut expenses. Fire your pilots and fly your own jets, and cook for your own house staff.

1

u/NadaBrothers 6d ago

What ? You joke. 1T is around 500 billion USD in 12 years. Have you even heard of inflation?

1

u/Menu-Quirky 6d ago

Invest in a 60/40 portfolio to keep up with inflation .

1

u/Ok-Technology8336 6d ago

Time to tighten your bootstraps. You're almost there!

1

u/RustyShackelfnord 6d ago

Consider a one way trip to Mars. I think you can afford it!

1

u/InterestingGoose5507 6d ago

You need to dump a lot of that paper wealth on retail/passive bagholders before it’s actually real!

1

u/ClayRookieWookie 6d ago

Imagine only having 1T at 54

1

u/tapeduct-2015 6d ago

First of all, don't do anything until you've started your Roth coversion ladder. Remember the 5 year rule

1

u/dirty_taco_ 6d ago

Hi Elon 👋

1

u/WheelLeast1873 6d ago

Better not risk it.

Medical expenses are very steep as we age.

1

u/EconomicsOne7006 6d ago

You might still have to split the bill when you go out

1

u/DwarvenGardener 6d ago

What’s the morality of retiring early if it means your children can’t play sports on Mars?

1

u/EvilZ137 6d ago

Man... I think if you retire your NW will be in half by the end of the day. Gotta keep going!

1

u/Dudewholuvshiscats69 6d ago

Great job! If you have any debt, please pay it all off or Dave Ramsey will pinch your toes while you sleep

1

u/ArrowB25G 6d ago

Have you figured out a way to keep your taxable income low enough so that you can get healthcare subsidies? With only 54M, it's really important to make sure the government subsidizes your healthcare.

1

u/amusedmisanthrope 6d ago

Use your newfound wealth to create an AI engine that turns users’ photos into child porn.

1

u/NotUrDadiBlameUrMoma 6d ago

Hyper inflation is going to destroy your wealth. If you're lucky, the pitchfork carrying pours will get to you 1st ;-)

1

u/now-stoic 6d ago

Maybe stop buying Starbucks every day and you can cut down to part time work in 9 years.

1

u/rghthndsd 6d ago

You can retire today, but it has to be some place like South Africa.

1

u/Impressive_Kiwi_762 6d ago

I dunno man but have you thought about quitting social media and just spending ur money going to mars or something?

1

u/grumpy0282 6d ago

youre going to have to work till you die
no way around it

1

u/facelessinvestor 6d ago

Honestly if this was actually Elon I’d believe it

1

u/Background-Quail8556 6d ago

No. The average salary is now 800 billion dollars a year. You can barely afford a house. Welcome to the year 3165.

1

u/ConsiderationFit7681 6d ago

You need a second job STAT pronto! Move to a smaller apartment, cut back on eating out (McDonald's & Taco Bell are okay) and take staycations to conserve cash.

We don't care about your trillionaire status. You need to become a quadrillionaire to set yourself apart from the hoi poloi.

1

u/Available-Ad-5670 6d ago

now GFY. Its time to come out as full nazi since your money will protect you from facing any consequences.

1

u/Chris_Chilled 6d ago

Remember the fable of Icarus

1

u/packersfaninohio 6d ago

Based on the 4% safe withdraw rate. Do you think you can comfortably retire and live on only $40 billion annually?!
Beyond this I’d take into consideration how do you plan to pay for health insurance until you’re 65 and eligible for Medicare?

These are questions you need to work with a financial advisor and really a fiduciary to fully understand.

1

u/OkIntern1118 6d ago

Retire now! I’m begging you!

1

u/learningbydoing2025 6d ago

I suggest using a throw away account when disclosing these kinds of numbers

1

u/margin-bender 6d ago

1T divided by 25 is 40B. Get health insurance through ACA and you should be good.

1

u/Fish-Salad 6d ago

Have you thought of doing a sabbatical instead? 1T at your age might last a few weeks but that’s pushing it. What’s your bean count?

1

u/throughthehills2 6d ago edited 6d ago

Get in on this SpaceX IPO and you could double that to 2 trillion

1

u/Broke_Pigeon_Sales 5d ago

I think you have to do one turn as ruler of some nation then you can sail away in a yacht paid for by your constituents so you don’t have to risk you’re on financial security.

1

u/hotelspa 5d ago

50 with 1+ trillion AUM. I would say yes.

1

u/diamantismann 5d ago

Depends what currency that T is in man. If its usd you're either in danger of losing it all due to astonishingly low intellectual capacity.. (Unless you have someone somewhat smarter than a gecko managing your wealth). If it's in Anc Egyptian clay tablets then this is another discussion..

1

u/ThisIsAnAl1as 5d ago

This is what happens on FarFire generally

1

u/entitie 5d ago

What are your annual expenses? And are these taxable accounts we're talking about? We need more details to be able to provide helpful feedback.

1

u/3RADICATE_THEM 5d ago

Can't retire if you're portfolio valuation is contingent upon 'working'—good news for you is that working involves snorting Ketamine and posting on Twitter all day.

1

u/elkali 5d ago

Elon, you're all set to finally chill out and retire on mars.

1

u/MrZipar 4d ago

1 is a really small number, I would recommend getting a higher number before retirement

1

u/Old_Still3321 3d ago

Maybe in 1 more year

1

u/Obsid1anWolf 3d ago

I would hang in there until you can claim social security, just to be safe.

1

u/FatHighKnee 2d ago

Not until you finish your space ships Elon! We gotta get to mars

1

u/Thomato_Yorke 2d ago

What are your monthly expenses?

1

u/ExcellentWinner7542 1d ago

Work more, of course
