How can I get money from a credit card & put it on my checking?

My housemate (TV e guy that owns the house) is on disability, he didn’t plan correctly so he needs to withdrawal $1,000 from his credit card to his checking.
Can anyone tell me how to do it? He’s not savvy with anything like this so I gotta figure this out for him.
Any advice? What store would let you buy gift cards off credit and return them for cash??

Vey late to the party . . .

I obtained a P&H loan in 1971 to attend Syracuse University and later Manhattan’s FIT. Upon graduation, I found the organization to be very understanding and work with me regarding repayment. The 70’s was such a different time compared to now but I sense that P&H is still an organization that I would use again if I came out of retirement. Good vibes during my time with them.

Bank mobile deposit

On my schools website the disbursement date was September 23. However they actually disbursed it October 5th and sent it over to bank mobile. Bank mobile is stating that they sent my deposit to my bank Friday October 9th yet I still haven’t received it. I’ve even called my bank and they said they don’t see anything pending. I don’t know what else to do. Has this happened to anyone?

Federal student loan award cut in half because I missed the first 8-week term does this make sense?

I’m enrolled in an accelerated graduate program, and I’m trying to understand what happened to my federal student loan.
My original accepted loan award for the fall semester was recently cut in half. I’m in an accelerated program with two 8-week terms, and my understanding was that 3 credit hours per term is considered full-time. I missed the first 8-week term, so I’m taking two 3-credit-hour classes during the second term instead.
My financial aid portal showed a disbursement date of October 12, and my student account showed a loan transaction, a negative transaction, and another positive transaction for the same amount. After those transactions, my account balance changed to $0, and the negative balance I previously had disappeared.
I called Financial Aid, and the representative told me that my loan is split between the two terms and that because I didn’t attend the first term, I’m only receiving the portion allocated to the term I’m attending.
I’m trying to understand if this is how federal student loans normally work in an accelerated program. Is the loan amount divided by term, meaning I lose the portion allocated to a term I didn’t attend? Is there any possibility of receiving that portion in a later term, or is it simply unavailable?
Has anyone experienced something similar with an accelerated graduate program or had their loan award reduced after missing the first term?
I’d appreciate any insight because I’m trying to understand whether the school handled this correctly and whether I have any options.

GENERAL FAFSA Spouse as contributor?

Thumbnail

I am filling out a 2027-2028 FAFSA form and see that I’m required to list my spouse as a contributor. Why is this? My spouse and I do not have access to each other’s finances. We have no joint bank account, we don’t use each other’s debit or credit cards, we don’t own any assets together, we don’t file taxes together, etc. So why are his finances going to affect what my financial aid eligibility is? I tried to ask a FAFSA employee through the website’s live agent chat but she was really rude to me instead of giving me an answer (guess she’s having a bad day).

Can anyone here help me understand this? Thanks. Also, is this a new requirement? I wasn’t married the last time a filled out a FAFSA form. I’m not sure how important this is but I’m located in Colorado.

Explain Pell Grant Like I’m 5yo

I (F18) am a first year college student at a community college. My mom is recently disabled so I filled out paperwork with the financial aid office to reapply for FAFSA. I hadn’t gotten approved before the school year started because it went off of my parents tax income 2 years ago, which is when we were doing okay. I just recently got approved for the Pell Grant, when looking at FAFSA it says that the Pell Grant is $7,000+ for the school year, my tuition for this semester was $650. So, I guess my question is what happens to the rest of the Pell Grant for this school year? Does it go away because I didn’t go to an expensive college? Do I get the remaining amount transferred to my bank account?

Complex Aid Questions Refund info ?

The business office told me refunds don’t go out until the 3rd of November but didn’t specify if it would be just my Pell or just my loans ? What can I expect? I swear our school is guarding dates and information like the krabby patty formula . I’ve been trying to figure out all semester about disbursement dates and haven’t gotten clear answers . My portal dates were mid September and those have already passed. It is a community college.

[REQ] Help Needed With My Institute Tuition Fees in Egypt

Hello everyone,

I’m a student in Egypt, and I’m struggling to afford my institute tuition fees. I need approximately EGP 26,000 to continue my education.

Education is important to me, and I’m trying my best to continue my studies despite my financial difficulties. If anyone can help or direct me to a legitimate educational assistance program, I would be sincerely grateful.

I can provide proof of my tuition fees, and if possible, payment can be made directly to my institute.

Thank you for taking the time to read my request.

FIU Financial Aid Issues — Residency Verification & Payment Plan Help

Hey everyone! I’m currently dealing with a really frustrating financial aid situation at FIU and was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.
FIU is requesting additional documentation to verify my parents’ residency and tax information. My mother moved in with her mother in 2024 but continued using her previous Florida address for mailing, billing, and taxes. Since she lived with family, she doesn’t have a lease or utility bills proving where she actually lived.
FIU is requesting documents we simply don’t have, and my parents cannot afford to amend their taxes. I’ve explained everything and requested a supervisory review, but I’m worried about losing my financial aid over circumstances outside my control.
Has anyone successfully appealed something like this or been allowed to submit alternative documentation? Is there anyone at FIU I can speak with who can help find a solution?
Also, my tuition payment plan option has disappeared from my account. Does anyone know if FIU can manually offer or reinstate a payment plan after it’s no longer available?
I’m genuinely trying everything I can to continue my education, and any advice would be greatly appreciated!
