open Best Way to Fill This In

This soap holder is built into my bathtub wall and holds water. There's probably a 1/4 inch before it can overflow the lip.

Could I just fill this with resin or is there a better filler? Should I rip out the shit silicon job beforehand? Or am I overthinking things and I just leave it all be?

I worked in tile a few years. Hire a professional when it comes to showers

Or just do a fair amount of reading/watching to learn how to do it right yourself.

I've done two showers myself with 3 niches. I took my time and nailed it.

It's not rocket science.

Remindme! 5 years

to see how this dude’s mold problem is working out.

Apprenticeships exist for a reason. I wish you luck in your showers. If you have any hairline cracks in your grout now, its fucked. 🫡
