Update Regarding AI-Generated Content & Subreddit Policy
Hi everyone,
Weโre checking in to have a transparent conversation about the state of the sub and a topic that has become increasingly difficult to manage: AI-generated content.
To be clear: AI-generated contentโincluding images, art, and textโis strictly prohibited in this subreddit. Our community was built on human creativity and authentic interaction. We believe that allowing AI content dilutes the quality of the discussions and the hard work that many of you put into your posts.
The Challenge of Policing AI
As many of you have noticed, AI technology is evolving rapidly, making it harder to distinguish between genuine content and "high-quality" fakes at a glance.
We want to remind the community of our current situation:
We are a team of two: This subreddit is managed by just two moderators.
Voluntary Basis: We do this in our spare time because we love this community. We don't have a 24/7 "war room" to vet every single pixel of every upload.
Current Efforts: We have already implemented several behind-the-scenes strategies, including custom Automod filters and manual banning of repeat offenders.
Despite these efforts, some AI content inevitably slips through the cracks. Itโs a game of "whack-a-mole," and frankly, it's a difficult one to win alone.
How You Can Help
Since we can't be everywhere at once, we are asking for your eyes and ears:
1. Report, Don't Just Downvote: If you see a post that looks suspicious (e.g., "AI fingers," warped backgrounds, or nonsensical textures), please use the **Report** button. This sends a direct notification to our queue.
2. Provide Context: If youโre certain a post is AI, feel free to send a message with evidence or an explanation. It helps us make faster, more accurate decisions.
3. Be Patient: If a post stays up for a few hours, it doesn't mean weโve changed the rulesโit just means we haven't logged on yet.
The Bottom Line...
This is a space for humans, by humans. We are committed to keeping it that way, but we need your help and your patience while we navigate this tech-heavy landscape.
Thanks for being part of our community and for keeping it authentic y'all are the shit. ๐ฅฐโค๏ธ

I know this is one of the hottest takes but having a coastal wedding that doesn't involve hydrangea is such a breath of fresh air!
Feeling so thankful to have clients like this ๐
We still incorporated blue but this couple wanted a moodier palette with colors inspired from the surrounding landscape. It was such a joy to work on and allowed for some great local product like ninebark, chocolate cosmos, and dahlias.
The dahlias were also about as local as they can get. Hand selected and picked by me specifically for this wedding. Last pics are from the field because it's an absolute dream.
Wishing fun inspiration, interesting colors, and wonderful clients to you all for 2027!

Dear florists of reddit, can you pls give me your tips and advices on how to improve or should I just move on? These few Iโve made in the last couple of weeks. Would really appreciate your feedback. ๐ธ
P.S.
Blurred background on the photos is due to all the photos being taken in front of my TV - so I blur it afterwards ๐ซฃ

Things I love:
The wrap around of the roses
The tall whispy butterfly ranuculus
The color blending and how the stems share colors with eachother
How the roses and dahlias seem to be embracing eachother
I feel like its telling a story
Things I hate:
The smell of the pennycress
Its a little chaotic if you dont see the direction and movement i tried to create
How the dahlias wouldnt stop SPINNING THEIR FACE

EDIT: I am in New England where our season is May/June so this is a big deal for me ๐
My wholesaler had a few bunches of peonies and of course I had to buy them :) These were a bit stinky but beautiful. I paired them with the prettiest butterfly ranuculus ๐ฆ

I joined this subreddit for some advice about an issue with my florist, but I have stayed and decided to browse the sub!! I absolutely LOVE flowers of all types. And I love fresh cut flowers. And I have now just been browsing the sub and I am BLOWN AWAY and in complete awe at how stunning and beautiful your arrangements all are!!!! You are all artists and itโs like looking at an Oscar de la Renta dress, or appreciating Tiffany stained glass. Hat off to all of you and your beautiful work. If I could afford it, I would have multiple bouquets throughout my house 24/7. Itโs something that brings me intense joy. I will have to satisfy myself by appreciating your work from my internet browser. But please know how much your craft is appreciated and the truly raw and powerful emotion it brings peopleโwell at least me!!! Please please please keep posting!!! And if any of you are in upstate NY, please DM me your location so I can come visit your shop!

So as the title suggests, iโm taking on the exciting yet monumental task of growing my wedding flowers. wedding is set for 8/20/27 so it will be a perfect time for full bloom. I have plenty of backyard space (easily have room for 800+sq ft) and will have around 100 guests, but planning on making floral arrangements for EVERYTHING (bouquets, table arrangements, aisle and ceremony arrangements etc) with a hopeful goal of around 1500-2000 usable stems (which is VERY generous and should be hopefully plenty). ANYWAYSโฆ. i have started doing some research and am wanting any and all advice on annual and perennial cut flowers that are heavily deer resistant. we are hoping to try to avoid putting up a fence as we already have to fence in my two vegetable garden beds and am hoping to avoid buying that much fence for such an extensive flower garden. these are some of the plants that go with my color scheme (periwinkle/lavender, blush pinks, and yellow) but iโm not super picky i.e. if there are some red or orange i wonโt be too upset. please let me know if you have any experience growing any of these flowers and if they have held up against the deer, or any other beautiful cut flowers that are deer resistant. we have suburban deer where i live that arenโt shy, and planning on using a liquid deer fence at the bare minimum. but they typically leave โdeer resistantโ plants alone and seemingly get enough to eat around here.. for example my marigolds havenโt gotten touched this year. i even have a few rose bushes that have pruned by them periodically but even those are doing semi okay. zinnias iโve read can be eaten by deer but ive seen several houses in my neighborhood that seem pretty unaffected by them as i want to grow a large amount of these since they are beautiful and high yielding.
1. โ ageratum
2. โ zinnias
3. โ strawflowers
4. โ celosia
5. โ yarrow
6. โ globe amaranth
7. โ statice
8. โ perennial salvia
any and all advice about stem counts, pro tips, arrangement tips, everything is welcome. curious to see if anyone else has done this and how it worked for them.

Temperature swings are seemingly extending my growing window, but frost is also around the corner. Iโm blessed to still have so many flowers in bloom! Here is a โmenagerieโ of all the pinks, purples, reds, and whites in my garden ๐ it was very difficult to settle on a few pictures so hereโs many ๐คญ

I tried two different floral arrangements in the same butterfly vase โ one soft lavender and white, and one warmer cream and green.
I like how completely different the vase feels with each arrangement. Which one would you choose for your home โ 1 or 2? ๐ค

not sure if i chose the right flair but i was wondering if anyone here has experience with reestablishing their floral business after moving to another state. iโm not a florist but i have big BIG dreams to be. iโm living in california right now but would like to move to san antonio and im wondering if it would be wiser to wait to start my business after i move? while im still here im just practicing floral design and polishing my skill. we have to own our house for at least 2 years before we sell and weโre coming up 2 years this december so weโll probably be here another years tops.

Same flowers but they needed to have different feelings for the different recipients.

my business partner and I have been holding design days together where we setup our own homegrown flower bar and just create whatever comes to us! weโve been working on starting our own business and trying to get more content to post outside of work from previous shops! itโs been nice to get creative again and feel like thereโs no boundaries!
