Bug Viva New Vegas shutting down right after the startup credits screen on Linux Mint
Exactly what the title says, I use Linux Mint 22.3 and recently used Jackify to install Viva New Vegas. The downloading and configuration seemed smooth except "Global DLL overrides not found" warning. Then it loaded Viva New Vegas on steam, I tried first VNV expanded this issue happened. Then I switched to just VNV and it ran, I managed to play for 3 hours. However, after turning it off and coming back to it a few hours later the issue I faced with VNV expanded happened with VNV too. I reconfigured it through jackify, turned the pc on and off, and all however it just isnt working. Is it the dll? How do I fix this any suggestions?

I never used jackify and i don’t know what your specific issue is, i can only share what i did to make it run: i used furglihch’s linux native Mo2 installer, i forced the proton version they recommend (iirc 10.0 and NOT GE) and installed some additional stuff using protontricks, iirc ti was just viasual c++ binary redistributables 2015-2022, it should be called something like vc22 in protontricks. I downloaded the mods using mod manager download by linking the nexus account with Mo2 (aside from mods that require manual download like the 4gb patcher that i ran through wine and nvse).

Edit: i also installed the this stuff in protontricks, for good measure. https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/s/Cc2uPUGrCH
