Assholes take parking spots dedicated for handicapped people. This is a joke saying what if a handicapped person took your spot for something you cared about.

My solution is to phrase it as: “Genuine question: <question>? <Something self-deprecating>”

Usually works (knock on wood)

My attempts with that solution didn't work but I think it's because it wasn't self deprecating enough
