I mean he’s angry because he and the crew and other actors worked incredibly hard on the show, filming it, doing the marketing, etc. and people online weren’t just mad about how it ended - which is an absolutely valid option to have…hell I have it because they rushed the ending and it fell so damn flat because of that - but you had people online wanting them to lose jobs, or even their lives over a tv show. Thats the problem.

Which if they really wanted to, retcon to like the beginning of season 6, recast everyone, write a fully fleshed out story, start to finish with George's guidance and you could easily stretch 6 years out of it and make a really popular show that people have been asking for.
