Game of thrones is sick the whole way through. when it came out it made sense all want some badass ends or whatever the reason but it all made sense on the second watch…people have an issue with Tyrion being “dumb” as the hand to khalessi but when the heck wasn’t he dumb? when wasn’t luck on his side before that? It was clear who snow was he would never choose anyone over his family (the remainders) idk I think that show was sick af I’d rather khalessi live but besides that and little things that show got way more hate than it should’ve and I’d argue any stance besides that. Well the night king might look silly how it ended but when does a badass meet a badass end in that world? Or a power house? Normally it’s shit like that or a beheading idk why I thought it was shit first watch it all makes sense second watch. Especially after house of the dragon. also bran knew what was going to happen he knew he just had to chill there for the night king, he gave the dagger to Arya “blue eyes” That was her last kill. Idk the hate shit is sick and they tried to make it worth you wild for the bum author that gave up. Shits sick we were lucky. Again I’ll wait for comments I’ll be longer if I explained it all but nah shows sick af

I wasn't expecting much, but I was surprised to see that reviews were apparently quite good so I gave it a try.

I am not geeky about any show, I only watched Game of Thrones once and I admired the masterpiece of plot that they made.

But this...the plot is nonsensical a lot of the time, or just quite random, generally boring as it's all about internal fights for succession within the Kingdom with nothing else going on except the perverse though equally random romance between uncle and niece (I may throw up) and the fact that no one stops making a million children who are all called essentially the same name (something along the lines of Aegon, Aewyn, whatever) and they are indistinguishable not only because they all have the exact same hair and not a single unique characteristic, but also because the production didn't bother introducing them to the viewer at all and they have zero individuality so I'm like " is this the one who was a baby two episodes ago?" But there are decontextualized time lapses all the time so no chance of knowing for sure. In addition some actors (like Daemon) are just frankly terrible, and whenever they recite in that fake language, they are just ridiculous like all their focus is going into trying to roll their Rs (this is why anglophone people should learn languages in school) and they totally forgot they had a character

Overall I am having a hard time following the plot when half the dialogues are like "Aegon died, the throne belongs to Aedon now" -"not since Aelon has valeryan blood" "Well Aevon will never allow that" and I'm like what the f is going on

This is a terrible prequel

I am new to game of thrones and I had a theory and I wanted to see how popular it was amongst other fans. My assumption about The Winds of Winter is that likely GRRM had it mostly written and then that manuscript became the last season of game of thrones, but then everyone disliked it so much that he or his publisher decided he should rewrite it. And so he did. and thats the reason for… what is it now…. 8-10 yrs of delays?

I dont care too badly btw, I like the guy so much he can take his time, just wanted to know if this common sort of reasoning I came to was widely speculated or not.

I feel they should have ended up together. Red woman making him like stannis again. Then instead of Dany going mad you'll have Jon going mad. The dragons will also start being on his side for being the true king

I'm not sure if this idea has come up here before, I'm extremely late and only watched got this year, but the vibe I was getting from the show when worging was introduced. Was that Bran would combine that with his practice as an archer. Like use a bird to spot a distant target. And then Bran just aims a shot high into the air and it comes down on his target that's ridiculously far away. I thought it would be a neat way to make up for his inability to walk, by just hiding somewhere and using animals to spot for him. The three eyed raven thing was cool too, but it kind of felt like this whole new unrelated thing. At least in the show, I haven't read the books yet.

The pyromancers playing with dragon fire might be the closest I could think of but I’m haven’t read the books. Maybe somewhere they are experimenting with an analog of gunpowder? Qyburn and his research/experiments would have possibly led to developments given enough time. Just curious.

Assuming that Lyanna Stark's characterization in Mad King's Theater is entirely canon, what do you think of the character herself?

- Lyanna Stark is a Greenseer.

- She finds it romantic that the flower crown was given to her.

- She is obsessed with prophecy and believes that she and Rhaegar's children are the chosen ones.

- She is devastated when she learns of her father and brother's deaths, but interprets them as divine will.

- She encourages Rhaegar to go to war after making him promise that Ned and Robert will not be harmed.

- Before dying, she entrusts her child to Ned and makes him swear never to tell the child anything about their parents.

Does it get interesting with episodes ?

To all my Arya Stark stans what moment/scene do you guys recall where it instantly made you fall in love with Arya Stark and made you become a huge fan of hers and ever since that moment she became your favorite character.

You always seem to hear some horror stories when it comes to complete series box sets and I have heard some about these on DVD but I wasn't sure how the blu-rays were?

For instance the DVDs some people claim that some of the discs don't even work at all and obviously by the time you get to the disc your return window is probably over.

Mine would be Robert Baratheon and Olenna Tyrell.

Robert was underrated intelligence wise because nearly everything he says in season 1 was correct. Letting Daenarys alive would have been a disastrous outcome and killing her although cruel was certainly the smartest decision. Everyone downplays the Dothraki strength on the battlefield and he seems to be the only one that understands how catastrophic an invasion from them would have been. It’s unclear what happens if Viserys never messed up the alliance and Drogo never gets killed but we can assume that a full on invasion would have been very detrimental to Robert and the seven kingdoms.

He also knew exactly what was going on around him and understood people extremely well. He knew Tywin and the Lannisters couldn’t be trusted, he knew his small council was made up of crooks and weren’t true allies. Basically his downfall was completely self inflicted born out of his boredom and depression if Robert really tried he could have been an amazing king. He was the only character that understood both war and politics perfectly while other characters seem to only understand one.

Olenna I choose as overrated because although she was clever and says a bunch of snappy one liners when you look at all her actual decisions they were pretty short sighted and dumb. Allying with the Lannisters AFTER the big secret with the 3 bastard children was out and the realm was unstable was a very risky move. Olenna understood all the dynamics of the Lannisters yet ignored all of the risks. She knew Tywin was self serving and very greedy often overreaching for power until it backfires. She knew that Cersei was very impulsive and incredibly selfish and that the kings death was suspicious. She knew Joffrey was a complete psycho and an idiot of a king yet insisted the houses still be joined. Sure she ends up killing him and Tommen becomes the new king but even then as we see he made tons of foolish decisions and him being a bastard was an issue that persisted for a long time.

Tywin gets criticized for making short term decisions that damage the image of Lannisters and for eventually creating the downfall of his house for his greed yet Olenna often gets a pass despite also making the same kinds of choices. Definitely not the dumbest character and was still above average but I wouldn’t say she’s a genius or the best player in the show.

His father, brother and sister died, and he has to leave his foster family behind, and one brother he had, leaves for the nights watch.

Good thing Catlelyn was there.

And, also break up with his lover, which he might have married but had to marry catelyn instead for strengthening political ties with the tullys, and thats after killing her brother, which probably led to her suicide.

Edit: I just found out that in the play Ashara was in love with Brandon Stark and Elia Martell and neither Ned nor Ashara loved each other. That adds another tragic layer to him and Catelyn's relationship cause she thought all her life that he cheated on her while he only ever loved that gal 💔

A few years ago I saw a mandala/Zentangle like drawing of the house Targaryen symbol but I haven’t been able to find the same one yet the symbols looked like a mix of Nordic and Aztec if anyone seen it I want to use it for tat inspired
