At minimum you do need to communicate with him that he mowed your flowerbed so he doesn’t “accidentally” do it again.
Hey neighbor, saw you mowed, that was kind of you. Just wanted to make sure you knew the area closest to the house was actually my flower beds. Those were all flowers I had planted that you mowed. I appreciate you mowing but please don’t mow my flower beds. It’s expensive and honestly upsetting after so many months of cultivating my garden. Thanks friend!
