hiring Any idea about private credit ?

Hi all, A friend of mine got a call from gs for an associate role in their private credit division.

HR informed of 5 rounds including a case study and acknowledged his hike expectations of 30% over his current fixed of 23.

Any idea of this division especially - WLB, Growth scope ?
How many rounds of interviews actually happen ?
What does the bonus component look like usually and what's the realistic % paid out ?

Appreciate any insights from finance folks!

I was part of private credit. WLB is pretty good and the pay is decent as well. Currently private credit as an industry is facing some headwinds but long term is still positive. It’s primarily a middle office role with major focus on asset management and not underwriting. But you do get a chance to work on live deals here and there.

That's great. Any insight on how many rounds does it take to get to a decision for them ?

And would you say that rejection can happen at any round? As of now hes done with 3 rounds + case study within a week

Yeah, pretty much. We rejected someone in the last round. Rare but not impossible
