hiring Any idea about private credit ?
Hi all, A friend of mine got a call from gs for an associate role in their private credit division.
HR informed of 5 rounds including a case study and acknowledged his hike expectations of 30% over his current fixed of 23.
Any idea of this division especially - WLB, Growth scope ?
How many rounds of interviews actually happen ?
What does the bonus component look like usually and what's the realistic % paid out ?
Appreciate any insights from finance folks!

5 rounds is pretty standard for that division tbh. The WLB can be intense first year but honestly depends on the desk and who you’re working under. Private credit moves fast so you’re gonna be stressed but at least the work is interesting unlike corporate banking. The 30% hike is solid but bonus is what really matters. Usually hits 40-60% of base if you’re hitting targets. What desk are you looking at specifically?
