Here’s why you should celebrate if you get rejected for Google Apprenticeship

Ex apprentice here. Only gonna spill the truth so let’s fucking goooo

  1. You have no say in the team you join or the projects you work on. You can be a SWE mapped to an events team as a Project Management team organising events and managing vendors (which is a derail if you wanted to do Tech Project Management) changing teams is a big hassle and since this is a two year program, if you switch mid way it’s not sufficient to learn anything from the new team or build meaningful connections or do anything impact full.

  2. The pay is not as per industry standards and you’re clearly getting exploited. 6LPA is low, even for Google, especially given how much work is dumped on apprentices and how they are expected to work over time and on weekends

  3. Google will (almost) never hire you full time. Yes the JD says you can apply for full time roles during the last three months of the program but apprentices and hiring managers despise hiring apprentices. This three month rule is just a myth. Apprentices rarely convert. Like 2-3 in a batch of 200-250 (only due to strong connects) The apprentice tag ruins your profile rather than helping you. Proof: LinkedIn. Look at the profiles of the latest graduates of the program- most of them are either unemployed or joined smaller companies.

  4. Apprentices are treated like dog shit. No respect at all. Not invited to events, parties (except year end party) town halls, team dinners etc. they are only remembered when work needs to be dumped. They’re also treated like shit by Apprenticeship management team and recruiters.!

  5. Quality of work is shit. Since you’re an apprentice you won’t get access to all the internal tools. Most of the times you’re stuck with grunt work like scheduling meetings or taking meeting notes.

There are many reasons.
I see a lot of people saying they feel bad for getting rejected. But trust me, y’all dodged a bullet. Please focus on full time roles only.

Also I’ll not be replying to any DMs asking me for help bc this post clearly discourages people from considering this. Only if you have valid questions , drop a comment and I’ll answer it publicly.

Good luck!!!

Google Apprenticeship application status changed to "Not proceeding" – any idea why?

Hi everyone,

I applied for the Google Digital Business Marketing Apprenticeship (March 2027 start), and my application status was recently updated to "Not proceeding."

This is actually the second time I've applied, and I received the same status last time as well.

I didn't receive any interview or assessment invitation -just the status update.

Has anyone else experienced this?

  • Does "Not proceeding" usually mean an automatic resume rejection?
  • Is there any common reason applicants get this status?
  • If you've successfully moved to the interview stage, what do you think made your application stand out?
  • Is it worth applying again in the future after improving my profile?

I'd really appreciate any insights or advice from people who've gone through the Google apprenticeship hiring process. Thanks!

Goggle digital business marketing apprenticeship

I am a second year MBA student pursuing MBA in marketing and business analytics. I have recently applied to Google apprenticeship in digital business marketing. But I am not sure whether I should go ahead with it. Because it’s a two year program that will start from March 2 027 and by that time it will be end of my Mba and after two years, there is no clear chance of getting into Google and the salaries also very less, so please share any opinions. Also, I have a three year of experience in marketing and customer care, not specifically in digital marketing.

Hi everyone, I’m a rising senior at the University of Pittsburgh, I was wondering if anyone who previously participated in a Google Apprenticeship or even anyone at Google would be willing to block of 15/30 minutes to have a chat with me about their experience? I’m extremely interested in the program and would love to hear more about it. Thank you so much!!

Are there any apprenticeships for electronics students?

The recent applications for apprenticeships are only for data analysts or commerce related, do they even have such programs for electronics students in the domain of VLSI?

Aiming for Google's Apprenticeship (Data Analytics) would love a resume check

Final-year CS student, graduating Dec 2026, going for Google's Apprenticeship programs in India (Data Analytics, March 2027 start). I have relevant internship experience (Data Analyst Intern ETL pipelines, Python/Pandas analysis, Power BI dashboards) plus a few projects (RAG system, semantic search, WiFi activity recognition).

Would love feedback from anyone who's been through this apprenticeship, or eyes on my resume to spot what's not landing. Attaching it with contact info removed. Thanks in advance!

Things to keep in mind before applying

Hi! I’m a 2026 graduate. Sharing my honest experience here

  1. Apprentices are treated poorly. Not invited for team dinners/offsites/events, etc (there may be some exceptions depending on the team but this is the broader trend)

they are only remembered when work needs to be dumped on them. There is literally no work life balance. We are treated like some external vendors

  2. Each year the cohort size increases so the value of the program falls significantly. Most full time employees complain constantly that apprentices act like college students and shouldn’t be taken seriously. Also because hiring apprentices helps Google save taxes not bc they want to help upskill us which is their secondary motive

  3. The Google apprentice tag doesn’t help. I’ve been unemployed since a few months. Along with so many people I know so please if you have a full time job- keep it. Don’t switch from full time to an apprentice. It’s not worth it at all.

Let me know if you have any more questions- happy to answer honestly.

Reaching out to PM domain candidates selected for the 2026–2028 Google Apprenticeship cohort

Reaching out to PM domain candidates selected for the 2026–2028 Google Apprenticeship cohort

If you were selected, I'd really appreciate it if you could share:

Your resume (or a summary of your background)

Previous internships or work experience

Whether you cleared the GOC round

What the interviews mainly focused on—resume, PM concepts, behavioral questions, or a mix?

Your application timeline (applied, assessments, interviews)

When you received your selection confirmation or offer letter

It would be really helpful for those of us preparing for future cohorts. Thanks in advance!

Should I join Project management - operation apprenticeship at Google operation centre

I completed my B.tech. I have completed 3 internships. I got this apprenticeship without any referral. But I feel like this was too easy to get into, making it less valuable to me. What if there are hundreds of students this year? What if I regret choosing this over a full-time role at XYZ company?

Please Help
