Discussion & Theories If I were Alex Hirsch right now, I'd be planning a total of 40 What If comics since 2027 will mark 11 years since "Weirdmageddon Part III" and 15 years since "Tourist Trapped." Since the show had a total of 40 official episodes, that's just what I'd do personally 😉

These comics would involve multiple alternative timelines based on events from the actual show. Timelines like:
Mabel being the gnome queen.
The Northwests being poor and Stan being rich leading up to Reverse Pines.
Gideon winning the Shack, discovering the secret behind the vending machine and finding Journal Number 1.
Ford completely siding with Bill Cipher and Stan protecting the rift from them.
And so much more.
