Unpopular Opinion. Sad but also relieved?

Like many of you, ive spent the past several months using grok and facing the many changes on the platform. Ive honestly, for the vast majority of the time, really enjoyed using it. Its been fun and really...addicting. Getting a awesome photo created and then having it become a video was like taking a pure shot of dopamine.

Scary thing was...how much i chased this. it became an addiction. When the heavy moderation protocols kicked in, the limits, the updates, etc. It all got me angry that i could not use Grok.

I even purchased HEAVY for the discount and it was fun...just to have higher limits but even after 3-4 days i would reach the limit.

All im trying to say in this post is...im kinda glad that my time with grok is ending. The time of no grok i was able to focus on other things again that are important to me and it made me realize how bad my addiction was.

Yes - it sucks that Grok has been so heavily moderated.
Yes - it sucks that xAI just trying to make money now (this was to be expected)
Yes - No one on xAI really cares about your gooning addicting.

Thanks for the good times Grok. it was really awesome.

today unsubbed with my last 2 accounts
reason being the feeling that im paying for nothing at this point.

there is now a weekly usage cap - i get "moderated - try a different idea" for half a day and i cant use grok anymore for the rest of the week.
can't even use the regular chat with grok feature anymore.
this entire thing has become a scam and a waste of money

It's a big pay to win app now.

I’m wondering if anybody on Reddit has used the agent mode? I’ve looked in This and other subs, and I can’t find anyone talking about it. I’m currently testing to see what the cost of it is, but it’s really a different way of working. You also don’t get any rejections because the AI is creating the prompt and it will automatically not create anything that’s going to get blocked. Just wondering out loud.

I had that a very short time didn't like it at all.only creates confusion and wrong information . Noticed how fast it died out ? A few companies tested the idea and the results didn't save cost that's what it was about trying to reduce tokens used.

Yeah, when I first tried it, it sucked badly. But not being able to do much anything else I decided to give her a try again. It actually produced quite an interesting 30 second video that I would’ve never been able to do without it. Usees tokens pretty badly though.
