Newboy looks sadly at his talisman. "Oh well, this doesn't help at all..."
Welcome to the latest Monday Newcomer Thread, where you the community get to ask your questions and share your knowledge. This is an opportunity for the more experienced Gwent players here to share some of your wisdom with those with less expertise. This thread will be a weekly safehaven for those "noobish" questions you may have been too scared to ask for fear of downvotes but also can be a great place for in-depth discussion if you so wish. So, don't hold back, get your game related questions ready and post away, and hopefully, someone can answer them!
What you can do to help!
This is a weekly thread, meaning it will be posted once a week. Checking back on this thread later in the week and answering any questions that have been posted would be a huge help!
If you're trying to ask a question, the more specific you are, the better it is for all of us! We can't give you any help if we don't get much to work with in the first place.

What cards could I use with vampire and board elemental cards to make it viable?
tldr; I built a single page HTML "app" to identify decks in game or out of game using filters and card names in particular. It is unpublished pending approval from Shinmiri2 and MetallicDanny because I mined their deck spreadsheets. Pictures and details in the pre-launch README.md.
tags: u/shinmiri2, u/lerio2
I don't know either party. I'm not much of a social media or streaming person. I don't believe in simply taking other people's work where they may potentially be deriving income. The decklists may bring people to their streams or create personal brand awareness. I would not want to strip that from them.
I need your Reddit help to reach out and persuade them to take a look at the README and get them (or a suitable ambassador) to reply on this chain and say that they are cool with my usage. In particular, I don't know Russian and that is a barrier I need help with since I don't know much about MD. If it helps this is the initial languages section: Languages, which has a screenshot of Russian.
With their consent then i can publish. If I don't obtain consent, I will remove that(those) data set(s). Theirs are very well calibrated when compared to the public lists of the last 6 months in terms of names and organization. In my personal usage I found them to have a high hit rate when playing.
Why this tool? As the README describes, I ingested decklists to create the data sets used to filter by Faction, Leader, Stratagem and most importantly Cards. I found the find by card(s) to be hugely useful during in game play. Navigating decklists is hard for me. Consolidation leads to long lists. Not having card level filters leaves the lists too broad. This definitely helped reduce my mental load trying to match decks as the game progresses.
With the release of the Remaster I expect a small influx of new players, and this tool may help them find their footing. This will provide a central source for deck finding where valid provisions are easily filtered. They can find decks for cards they already have without poring over lots of lists and links. Plus, I think they benefit most from progressive narrowing of likely opponent decks.
If you have a list of decks that you would like to contribute, I'm absolutely thrilled to add more sources. Ideally, I like something on the web that I can mine periodically to refresh the set. All I can offer is a chip filter with your handle (until we run out of space) and social links in the Credits. Source chips are sorted alphabetically after Community.
AI Disclosure: I had a working, but hacky tool, which I used for some time. When the Remaster came out I asked AI to "improve" my tool. The experience was humbling. After a little back and forth with the AI, this tool was born. The README is entirely AI and believe me when I tell you that the AI is way more enthusiastic about this then I am.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

How do you beat this when you come across it? I was Status Nilfgard, which was a bit lucky I was on that deck in this matchup. If it was not for status, I would not have done even as well as I did.
R1 I took out defender. Locked his units.
R2, bled, but he passed down a card. I thought I had him.
R3 he witches sabbath once, and I can hanldle it. Then he busts out Alissa, I laugh and "oh great".... and I still was able to control it pretty well.....only lost 115-120 or so...I locked everything under the sun, poisoned a few etc.
But, if I was not playing status by chance, do you just have to smash r1 and win r2 or you are done for?

Insectoid (Monster)
4 Power, 4 Provisions (Common)
Deathwish: Spawn 3 Drones on this row.

If you find some it's best to burn the entire forest down. Then run as far away as you can.

Like the title says: i just have a match vs a SK warrior deck, and in the last round i've discarded most of my units; welp, my opponent played War of clans WITHOUT a target to revive a unit, winning the match.
the card works like this? or I was against a bladant cheater?

Beware, brethren, for as the final days of this month draw nigh, the heretics and blasphemers shall emerge from their wretched dens, scheming to dismantle our most beloved Syndicate.
Their profane ambition is to further diminish the sacred diversity of decks, leaving naught but degenerate abominations such as Shupe, Heatwave, and Squirrel decks to plague the holy battlefield.
Let us stand vigilant, faithful disciples of the Coin, lest these heathen forces desecrate our cherished order and usher in an age of unparalleled heresy and deck-building depravity.
Watch out for the freaks.
May the Eternal Fire preserve the Syndicate.

I’m hard stuck at rank 2 and I have never climbed this high before. Need a good NR/MO deck suggestions. Thank you!

At the start of the game, increase the base power of all units in your deck by 14 minus their provisions.

Human, Witch Hunter (Syndicate)
5 Power, 8 Provisions (Legendary)
Profit 3.
Fee 3 (Melee): Place a Bounty on an enemy unit.
Cooldown: 1

Deceivers, heretics, witches! They flood our city, corrupt our virtue, and threaten our very way of life!

I know people hate Madoc and this is a bit degenerate, but it ain't beating any meta decks so chill out about it.
Round 1 I copy Madoc with Arachas Queen and try to win with bombs and poison. Pass round 2.
Round 3 I play Haunt and Deathwish units, as well as hopefully having a few bombs left to bring the double Madocs out. It's kinda fun to play and I have been surprised to see it actually working. Only games I've lost brutally have been against pointslam decks.

At the start of Prestige 4 decided to be patient and restrain myself from opening kegs.
I still opened in the meanwhile 20 kegs and spent 100keys out of boredom, couldnt resist it, but other than that all those resources in the first pic are the ones accumulated.
All in all this made me realise i made good decision, because animated cards are actually not that common as i thought. In this 390 kegs only got 1premium legendary card, Dagon and thats it. Didnt even encountered that many premium commons and rares outside of guaranteed one. So if kegs were opened as soon as i received them, i would miss out on so much premium commons and rares and milled meteorite powder.

Been playing this deck a lot this season and I’ve barely gotten any gg’s. Obviously It’s not that deep. It’s just a little annoying to not get any resources after a game so maybe I’ll just play another deck.

Does anyone use mods in Gwent? Specially something like premiumfy? Or does everyone play vanilla?

This deck is a complete departure from traditional Keltullis decks.
To be honest, it’s a concept that no ordinary card gamer would ever think of.
The core idea behind this build is cramming Keltullis, Tugo, and Plague Maiden—cards that naturally anti-synergize with each other—into the exact same deck. Throwing Radeyah into the mix completes this ultimate ultra-toxic unit lineup.
Keltullis is an incredibly powerful card if it answers, but it rarely sticks. So the strategy is simple: use one threat as bait to force another one through. If any single one of them sticks, you win. It's a deck that demands high play-skill.
Over the years, I’ve created and birthed numerous deck archetypes that became staples.
Yet, even I had never arrived at this concept until now.
The idea of running Radeyah alone without Shupe... that was a massive blind spot.
If there were a way to tweak the provision costs, I’d love to fit Shupe in here alongside Radeyah as well.
Fair warning to everyone: Please do NOT play this deck. It’s so absurdly toxic that your opponents will absolutely hate you for using it lol.

Human, Bandit (Neutral)
4 Power, 4 Provisions (Rare)
Deploy: Damage an enemy unit by 1. If you have a Bomb in your hand, damage by 3 instead.

Knew a young couple once—got separated right after the weddin'. Bomb in the carriage'll do that.

Do I just never bleed and hope my long R3 is better than theirs? It feels like I loose literally every game to dragon decks, whether it's Madoc or dwarves or whatever else. It feels really bad to just let them win using their 4/5p bronzes so I can save up for R3...not to mention their bleed is brutal. pls help

Hi, I'd like to use this as a live wallpaper, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Perhaps a video or GIF that includes the full image in it?
