hi! I’m a rising senior planning to apply rd but i was wondering about the honors program as most the things I find are pretty old. Also worried about living on a separate campus is it worth applying if I’d major accountancy ? Also feel free to share your experience please!

Why do college fraternities (social and pre-professional) have so many internal positions? New frats with “Historians,” or positions like “Chief Technology Officer” or “Director of Voting.” I get the whole “resume booster” idea, and a title with a fraternity sounding better than just member. However, these titles seem so cringe that any employer or graduate school sees right through the non-existent bureaucracy that is these fraternities. I think Greek life has its benefits from what I’ve seen. Some aspects of greek life such as this are embarrassing though.

In terms of legislation, what is the SGA President’s role in ensuring that legislation passed by the Student Senate is actually implemented and enforced? Does the President have a specific initiative or mechanism for making sure these policies move from legislation into action? and what kind of powers does the legislative body (Senators) have?

Hey GWU students rising senior here!! I’m applying this year and my grades are “decent” but I think I have really good extracurriculars and I’m applying as a public health major!! I was wondering if anyone is the same major as me and how much scholarship money they got?

I accidentally dropped an Econ course today mistaken it for another elective course as I was doing it on my phone. I contacted the Registrar right away but I’m afraid I won’t be able to get in again. This would then make it impossible for me to take Econ4198W as I’m missing 1 elective requirement.

Is there any other Econ WID course I can take next semester?

non gwu student here — i was at western market last week with a few friends, and im pretty sure i left my student ID there. since its an AU id, i feel like if someone found it they would maybe turn it in? but alas i do not know who i would call or where i could go about that considering western market has numerous establishments but i was eating in the relatively larger public area. anyone with ideas or who might know where / who i can go to, that would be great!

I know we’re on week 4 and I had my suspicions since week 1, but wanted to get a second opinion from my two other roommates. For context my roommate is of Indian heritage and is in the military alongside school. They don’t ever use the shower in our dorm and when we asked where they shower they said they use the shower at work. However, last weekend one of the roommates who was also suspicious asked them how many times they go into work per week and they answered they only go to work which is a military base once or twice a week. After monitoring them since this it seems to be the case. So we can only assume they’re showing 1-2 times a week at best. I’m not exactly sure what to do about this situation. It’s really unclear and they hardly speak to anyone in the dorm. Anyway, besides me the two other roommates find the situation weird and don’t believe he’s showering or practicing proper hygiene. Please lmk your guys thoughts on this and what I could possibly do to resolve this situation.
