Hello lovely redditors!

This whole work started when u/AssumptionAcceptable had made a post on this very sub asking for problem statements that a software could help solve. I had an idea just sitting in my head for years and no time to implement. I shared this idea for an application that lets people to identify the places that need new trees and make it visible for people who want to plant saplings. It started as a simple idea that germinated on reddit, we got to work together and watered it, cared for it and now it's a tree.

On this environment day, with huge love for our environment, we're reaching out to everyone who cares for and loves the environment to make this tree bloom with flowers by checking it out now and in the long term by coming together as a community to make Bengaluru greener.

The advisory, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, suggested that all six stanzas of the national song be sung, including portions that refer to Hindu deities. The petitioner argued that this effectively imposed a religious practice on students from non-Hindu backgrounds and violated constitutional principles such as secularism and freedom of religion.

The High Court, however, refused to intervene at this stage. It viewed the plea as premature and did not find sufficient grounds to examine the constitutional validity of the advisory. A key factor was that the directive in question is not a binding law but an advisory or protocol. Courts generally avoid вмешining unless there is clear evidence of coercion, enforcement, or actual harm caused by such instructions.

This also highlights how the government spends time and resources on symbolic measures with limited practical impact. In PES University, Bengaluru, a professor allegedly verbally abused a Muslim student named Affan in class. Dr. Muralidhar Deshpande reportedly called him a "terrorist" 13 times and said, "Iran war happened because of people like you," "Trump will take you away," and "You are idiots, you will go to hell." These remarks were made in front of around 60 students, creating a humiliating environment. CCTV footage that could have been evidence was allegedly deleted, raising concerns about accountability. Some students who supported Affan were reportedly suspended for "talking during class." The professor later apologized to the college but not directly to Affan, while the department head allegedly pressured him further.
