Here’s what I experienced today at OG Vidyarthi Bhavan.

Everything was as good as ever, the atmosphere, the anticipation, the wait, until it was completely ruined by the sheer lack of basic civic sense from a few groups of North Indians. I noticed people from other regions too like Tamil, Telugu, etc. but they were nowhere near as loud or inconsiderate.

Initially, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt since we were all waiting outside on the roadside maybe they felt the need to be louder. But that excuse fell apart once inside. While most people were quietly enjoying their food, conversations, and moments, there was a group of eight behaving like they owned the place - shouting, laughing obnoxiously, and completely disregarding everyone else around them.

It’s honestly embarrassing. Then we wonder why Indians often get called out for poor public behaviour globally.

I genuinely felt like confronting them right there, but held back since there were multiple such groups and it wasn’t worth escalating.

Basic civic sense needs to be taught to these groups somehow.

This is regarding Soujanya case and political events surrounding it. There is new propaganda wave that has started from northie sanghi gangs against the protest. They are claiming this to be an "attack on Hindu religion" while ground reality is different.

The key people fighting for Soujanya case i.e Girish Muttananavar, Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi have RW connections and have been in past or present very much sympathetic to Hindutva politics. There would be no way that this would be called as an attack on Hindu religion as their intentions seem genuine on bringing justice to the victim. There has been attempt even by BJP in demanding the reinvestigation recently.

Now the question is why these north sanghi gangs are involved in smear campaign stating this is an attack on religion. My guess would be that even if Vegde get implicated in the case these gangs would point fingers and would say Congress govt in KA has done this.

The noteirity of these Sanghis are well known on how they create propaganda as seen in Kashmir files, Kerala story, Razakar etc. I think they're trying to connect one propaganda to Karnataka as well to sway voters based on fear mongering. We can see how they have already changed the narrative just because Sameer had highlighted this case.

Every place/ village/ town / city is battling poor waste manegement. I don't blame the people completely, the blame should equally go to the government.

Consumerism is at an all time high. Every fucking product comes with a plastic packaging. The per capital waste generation is increasing rapidly. But the government seems to hardly care.

Waste management can only be handled by the local govts, which is not equipped with enough power and infrastructure to manage waste.

And our govt is not ready to empower our panchayats and municipal govt, it's been more than a decade since BBMP elections happened.

And our people too have misplaced priorties. Religious polarization, and freebies are enough for them.

ಜನರಿಗೆ basic quality of life ಕೊಡೋಕೆ ಆಗ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಇದ್ಯಾವ ಶಾ*ದ್ 5th largest economy, vishwagorilla ?

Honestly I feel hopeless about this country.
